ON DEC 21ST, DIRECT SUNLIGHT IS BLOCKED BY SUNSCREEN AND ITDOESN'T HIT MUCH FLOOR AREA SINCE THE FLOORS ARE SETFURTHER FROM THE NORTH FACING FACADE AS THEY GO HIGHER.THAT ENABLES THE BUILDING TO SAVE LARGE AMOUNT OF ENERGY FORCOOLING ITS INTERIOR SPACE IN SUMMER.

ON JUNE 21ST, SUNLIGHT REACHES ALMOST ALL FLOORS AND IT WARMSUP EVERY CONCRETE FLOORS. IT EAPECIALLY REACHES THE GROUNDFLOOR WHICH IS 200MM CONCRETE MASS THROUGH THE LOWERFACADE SINCE THE ANGLE BETWEEN SUNLIGHT AND THE FACADE ISALMOST VIRTICAL. THAT HELPS REDUCING ENERGY COMSUPTION FORHEATING IN THE COLDEST CLIMATE IN A YEAR.

THE BUILDING GAINS RELATIVELY MODERATE AMOUNT OF DIRECTSUNLIGHT IN BOTH EQUINOX.

TOP LOUVERS

LOUVERS ON1ST CURTAIN WALL

THE BUILDING HAS LOUVERS ON THE TOP OF ITS DOUBLE SKIN SYSTEM AND SERIES OF LOUVERSON ITS 1ST CURTAIN WALL.

IN WINTER, THE TOP LOUVERS WILL BE CLOSED AND SUN WARMS UP INSIDE THE DOUBLE SKINSYSTEM, THEN COUMPUTER CONTROLLED LOUVERS ON THE CURATAIN WALL WILL BE OPENED TOFLOW HOT AIR INTO THE INTERIOR SPACE. THE HOT AIR INSIDE THE DOUBLE SKIN IS ALSOCOLLECTED AT THE ROOF BY AHU. THAT REDUCES GREAT AMOUNT OF ENERGY COMSUMPTION FORHEATING.

IN SUMMER, THE TOP LOUVERS WILL OPEN AND HEATED AIR INSIDE THE DOUBLE SKIN SYSTEM WILLRISE AND ESCAPE THOURGH THE TOP LOUVERS BY CHEMNEY EFFECT. THE LOUVERS ON THECURTAIN WALL WILL BE SLIGHTLY OPENED SO THE INTERIOR AIR IS SUCKED INTO THE DOUBLE SKINSYSTEM TO HELP VENTILATING THE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENT.
