Louie Lukas was a young boy who lived at 103 snowball cottage, he didn't believe in Christmas or even Santa! No matter what his family or friends told him, he said " yeah yeah yeah". Each year at Christmas time Louie Lucas wouldn't help with the decorations, gift buying or putting up the Christmas tree. His parents, Mr Lawrence Lucas and Mrs Lucy Lucas always tried to get Louie to help out but he would never join in. " There is no Santa ", said Louie. Then off he went to watch television and then play in the garden with Tom the dog.

One December afternoon a very strange thing happened, when Louie went upstairs to his bedroom. As he got closer to the door he could hear a very loud snoring noise. Slowly Louie pushed open his door and he could see a very large familiar looking figure asleep in his bed. "Santa"?? Said Louie. " It can't be you, you don't exist," he whispered to himself. He shouted to his parents, "MUM ,DAD. Come upstairs quickly!". When Louie's parents got to his bedroom Santa had woken up. " Look mum and dad," said Louie whilst pointing at Santa, but Louie's parents couldn't see him and they told Louie to stop being silly as they went back downstairs. Santa spoke softly to Louie and told him that it was only him can see or hear him until Louie believed in him.

Days went by and wherever Louie went Santa would join him showing him how Santa made Christmas special for other children. He would give toys, spread happiness and cheer to all who believed. As Christmas got closer Louie started to enjoy helping with the Christmas fun. He decorated the tree, hung stockings on the mantelpiece, wrapped gifts and even helped his mum with the shopping! Mr and Mrs Lucas could see the change with Louie and asked why? " Santa is my friend," replied Louie and has showed me how wrong I have was not to believe. Mr and Mrs Lucas smiled and said, " whatever and whoever has shown you the spirit of Christmas, we are happy they have".

Christmas Eve at 103 snowball cottage was full of excitement and joy. Santa explained to Louie that he would have to leave at midnight to deliver all the presents to the children all over the world. Louie was sad but he knew that Santa would come back and on Christmas Day he would be happy with all of his toys under the tree. Louie told his parents that his friend Santa had to leave soon. " Ok Louie, " said his parents and both looked at each other and smiled.

That night as the clock struck midnight the Lucas family woke up by a loud banging and jingling noise on the roof, as they all went up to their windows Mr and Mrs Lucas couldn't believe their eyes as reindeers and a huge sleigh flew across the sky. Louie waved out of his window. "Bye Santa," he yelled. " See you next Christmas, " he said. He went to his mum and dad's room and smiled saying "Now do you see what I see?" and with a huge yawn Louie went back to bed. Christmas Day at 103 snowball cottage will never be the same again. MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
