- Dr. Paul Fogarty from Northern Ireland is a senior consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist in the Ulster Hospital Belfast and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists

- Dr. Austin Ugwumado from the United Kingdom is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist at St. George’s Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at St. George’s University of London

- Dr. John P. Newnham from Australia is a professor of Obstetrics at the University of Western Australia and is a sub-specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine

- Dr. Joo Hyun Nam from Korea is a professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ulsan University Hospital and the president of the Asian Society of Gynecologic Oncology (ASGO); was

appointed as the Officer of the Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology recently at the Congress held in Kutching, Malaysia this 2015

- Dr. Chyi-Long Lee from Taiwan is the President of the Taiwanese Association of Obstetric and Gynecologic Endoscopist and Division Head of Gynecologic Endoscopy at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei

• That there will be a panel discussion on the first day, November 9, 2016 during the plenary session with representatives from Philhealth/HMO and DOH?

• That during the plenary session on November 10, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon, there will be a President’s Hour to dialogue and interact with Dr. Blanca C. De Guia-Fuerte?

• That this year, there will be four Simultaneous Sessions on the first day and three on the second and third day so an increased number of attendees per room are expected?

• That the simultaneous sessions will hold series of topics in OB from 1st to 3rd trimester, labor, delivery and postpartum concerns?

• That the simultaneous sessions will also tackle a wide variety of topics in general gynecology, reproductive medicine and infections?

• That there will be panel discussions on postpartum hemorrhage and adnexal mass during the simultaneous sessions?

• That there will be a debate on hysteroscopy versus 3D ultrasound or SIS in the diagnosis and management of intrauterine pathology during the last day of the simultaneous sessions?

◊ That members 65 years and above are entitled to free registration but are requested to signify their intention to attend to the POGS Secretariat before September 15, 2016.

◊ That fellows are exempted from paying registration fees if they:- Have been inducted as Fellow on or before November 2012- Are in good standing and have settled their annual dues by June 30, 2016- Signify their intention to attend in writing or by returning the registration slip.

◊ That all senior members and Fellows are exempted from paying registration fees, must conform with the procedures set by the Committee on Registration.

◊ Registration in any other form shall not be honored.

• That the Subcommittee on Accommodation chaired and co-chaired by Dr. Benjamin Cuenca and Dr. Brenda Zamora respectively has recently been created to facilitate assessment, distribution and proper assignment of hotel accommodation for all registered delegates?

• That the Subcommittee on Accommodation will be the official housing bureau of the POGS 2016 Annual Convention and 70th Anniversary Celebration?

• That the Subcommittee on Accommodation will have a systematic and centralized coordination with individual members and likewise with various company sponsors as to hotel accommodation requirements during the convention period?

• That the Subcommittee on Accommodation has tapped five partner hotels for all accommodation needs at special convention rates to maximize the opportunities to billet all convention delegates. • That during the Opening Ceremonies on November 8, 2016 to be held at the ballroom of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel we will honor the awardees of the society, give an ear to the Baldomero Roxas awardee and welcome our new Diplomates?

• That after the Opening Ceremonies, we will have the Welcome Reception on the same venue and we will be entertained by no other than Mr. Joey G former lead singer of the Side A band?

• That for our Fellowship Night on November 9, 2016, we will have the “Night of Broadway” and once again be awed by the incredible singing voice of Mr. John Joven, 4 Regional Presentations and Guest Artists?

• That during the Closing Ceremonies on November 11, 2016, we will hold the induction of the new set of 15 Officers and Board of trustees, and likewise our new fellows?
