The DMX is a horizontal split case, dual volute, heavy duty, high pressure multistage pump with opposed impellersdesigned to meet API 610 latest edition.

It is available in various sizes, single or double suctionfirst stage impeller and material combinations makingit suitable for service on a wide range of process andindustrial applications.

DMX Heritage

The DMX pump line is the family name of our axially splitmultistage pumps. It primarily consists of the heritageIDP DA and DAD pumps, but can include other heritageproducts such as:

• Byron Jackson DVMX (including DVMXD)

• United Pumps MSN (including MSND and WMSN)

• BW/IP Pumps MX (integrated BJ and United products)

Currently we have an extensive installed pump populationbase with over 7,500 Flowserve DMX pumps worldwide

Pump Casing is near centerline mounted to maintain alignment during operation at elevated temperatures.

Casing is supplied with minimum flange ratings of ASME B16.5 Class 600 suction and discharge. Class 900, 1500 and 2500 also are available to meetthe required operating pressures. Flanges are castintegrally with lower casing half, permitting pump disassembly without disturbing piping connections.

Rotating Elements include large diameter shafts and short bearing spans to minimize deflection. Final two plane dynamic balancing and TIR run-out verifications are conducted on assembled rotorsto assure optimum mechanical performancethroughout the operating range.

Shaft Options include double extension for connection to auxiliary pumps or hydraulic turbines, and special shaft end machining for hydraulic fitted couplings.

Features

Cap Nuts are arranged on the parting flange of the top casing half, allowing easy casing removal for rotor inspection and maintenance.

Axially Split Construction allows removal of the rotor without disturbing the motor or suction and discharge piping.

Renewable Casing and Impeller Rings control interstage leakage and provide hydraulic stability during operation. Optional laser hardened or non-metallic wear rings in Graphalloy®, PEEK® and other materials are available.

• Operating pressure to 275 bar (4000 psig) maximum

• Operating temperature to 260 ºC (500 ºF) maximum

• Specific gravity > 0.5 in Affinity

• Speeds to 6000 rpm

• Hydrotest pressure to 425 bar (6000 psig)

- All vary by pump size

- Specific gravity from 0.3 to 0.5 only with engineering approval

API 610 11th Edition Par 6.3.9 Limitations for Axial Split Type Pumps:

• Maximum pumping temperature of 200 °C (400 °F)

• Liquids with specific gravity < 0.70 at pumping temperature

• Liquids with rated discharge pressure > 100 bar (1450 psig)

Flowserve has exceeded these limitations with customer approval and we have sufficient references available.
