Dmitry Polyanskiy

Dmitry Polyanskiy was born on 19 November 1986, in Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai. He is a professional triathlet, 2009 U23 European сhampion and a permanent member of the National Elite Team. Polyanskiy was qualified for the London Olympics 2012.

Sport biography

When he was 6 years old, Dmitry started going swimming. In 1999 he took part in his first triathlon contest that he won. Then Dmitry’s triathlon career began. Since that time he has won the Russian Championship, taken part in lots of different cups, including Olympic games in London, and become one of the 10 best triathlets of the world.

Education

Dmitry Polyanskiy studied in Lyceum #103 “Harmony” in Zheleznogorsk.Being good at sports he was also a good student. He is a pride of his Lyceum.

Hobbies.

Dmitry is also keen on watching films, reading books, especially historical romances, and backpacking with his friends.

Family.

Dmitry has a younger brother, Igor. His brother is a triathlete too. Dmitry’s father is also a triathlete. This kind of sport has now become traditional for their family.
