The DM 810 complements the DM 880/881/830/820 family providing cost-effective access solutions and supporting multi-service interfaces for voice/data convergence.

The 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet interface modules adhere to the latest Next-Generation standards and support VCAT-Virtual Concatenation, GFP-Generic Framing Procedure and LCAS-Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme among others. These features ensure interoperability with other vendors and enable easy integration into existing SDH networks. These modules also

support Layer 2 switching with VLAN functionalities and Class of Service (classifying services according to port, VLAN tag or DSCP) in addition to Flow and Bandwidth Control guaranteeing constant data flow.

In order to provide advanced IP/Ethernet services the DM 810 also supports Spanning Tree (STP-IEEE 802.1D, RSTP-IEEE 802.1W and MSTP-IEEE 802.1S) protocols and EAPS loop protection according to RFC 3619

Ethernet traffic can be mapped into the SDH matrix over 8xVC4, 24xVC3 or 252xVC12 data rates In order to maximize deployment, STM-1/4 interfaces are provided via SFP (Small Form factor

Pluggable) modules providing an extensive array of options for different wavelengths and ranges capabilities. All modules are hot-swappable allowing for the addition or exchange of services in real-time with minimal network downtime.

Several SDH protection mechanisms are supported ensuring system configuration flexibility and interoperability with other vendors:

o MSP-Multiplex Section Protection for 1+1 link redundancy. o SNCP-Sub-Network Connection Protection for path redundancy, per VC12, VC3 and VC4.

On the DM 810 performance monitoring reports are available via Element and Network management systems, enabling operators to engineer traffic on the most effective matter.

The DM 810 configuration can be performed via: o Terminal (or VT1000 emulator)

o Telnet (Ethernet port) or DCC remote management using built-in router o WEB (HTTP) interface

Terminal and Telnet allow for Network Parameter configuration while the WEB interface (Shelf View) permits the operator to see device status including interfaces and modules through a user–friendly GUI. The Shelf View provides status indicators for the power supplies, temperature, interface modules, MPUs, MPU interfaces and alarms in addition to configuration of all parameters in all modules and levels.

Network and Circuit Management and Configuration Tasks are executed via the DM View Enterprise DM 800Plus module. This module allows the operator to benefit from carrier-class NMS, providing among others, the following functionalities:

o Failure identification and diagnostics o NE-Network Element configuration o Network provisioning (circuit service center) o Topological maps

o Inventory reports o Performance reports

o Users, groups and permissions - security The 810 is a highly reliable and compact platform, available also with connectors for alarms,

service channel with DTMF signaling and with various options for synchronization or clock recovery.

Full range AC/DC power supply enhance the DM 810 flexibility and logistics, enabling the platform to be installed anywhere on the network regardless of the available power supply without the need for special ordering and stocking option
