Import a Parasolid file of Fan hub model
[Menu] File Import External Geometry File . . .
• Select “Fan_hub.x_t”
• Change operation to “Add Material”
• Press “Generate”

Create a sketch
1. Select Large circular face
2. Click on “New Plane” shown in toolbar
3. Press F5 to “Generate”
4. Go to “Sketching” mode
5. Create “Circle”
6. Set Dimensions
I. Diameter : 8mm
II. Center position
i. From x-axis : 17mm
ii. From Y-axis : 17mm

• Create Pattern
• Select cylindrical surface in Geometry
• Use pattern type circular
• Enter No. of copies 5
• Generate

Save Project
• This completes the workshop.
• From the main menu select File Close DesignModeler
– Workbench will save any application data.
• From the Workbench Project Page use the file menu and save the project as “Micro_WS_pattern.wbpj” to your working folder.
