PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONHeartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR and AED training. This course provides students with the convenience of completing the course at their own pace wherever they have access to the Internet. It includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference, along with audio and transcript for students who may have a hearing or visual disability, and much more.

COURSE OBJECTIVES• First aid basics• Medical emergencies• Injury emergencies• Environmental emergencies• Preventing illness and injury• Adult CPR and AED use• Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies• Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. • Know the first-aid basics.• Know how to deal with the medical emergency issues such as heart attack, asthma, diabetic patient…etc. • Know how to deal with the injuries emergency such as wounds, internal and external bleeding, shock fractures and burns• Know how to deal with the environmental emergency such as heat stroke, cold frost, animal bites…etc.

CPR AED OUTLINES• Adult, Child and Infant compression.• Opening the air way and give mouth to mouth, mouth to mask breathing for Adult , children & Infant.• Ask for help.• Demonstrate the complete sequences of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).• Use the AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
