Instructions

Make sure you arrive at the testing centre 15 minutes before the time of your appointmentand present yourself at the counter. 

You must bring this Book ing Slip, and the following:  

proof of identity which satisfies the RTA's requirements1.

a completed Licence Application form (RTA 1001) available from motor registries or theRTA website, or a licence renewal letter

2.

if doing a motor cycle test DKT, a Pre-learner Certificate of Competency which is less than3 months old

3.

the prescribed fee for the licence, for when you pass the test4.

if required, your spectacles to pass the eyesight test (if you fail the eyesight test your

booking will be rescheduled)

5.

a Medical Certificate (if required).6.

You may cancel or change a booking up to the day before the test on the Internethttps://ols2.rta.nsw.gov.au/myTests or by telephoning the RTA Contact Centre on 13 22 13.

The booking fee will not be refunded if you cancel or change a booking on the day of thetest.You will have to pay a fee for a new booking.

Your test will be cancelled and a new fee will be payable if: 

you are late for your appointment1.

you do not have a completed Application Form at the time of your appointment2.

you do not bring your driver licence or proof of identity documents3.

you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs4.

you have business restrictions with the RTA5.

you receive unauthorised assistance during the test(you will also not be allowed to resit the test for 6 weeks and further penalties may beapplied).

It is against the law to attempt to influence the result of a test by offering any money, gift orfavour to the testing officer or any employee of the RTA. Police will be called if any offer ismade. It is also against the law for any RTA employee to request or accept any money, giftor favour in relation to a licence from any applicant for a licence. You should report any

inappropriate approach to the Registry Manager or phone the RTA's Ethics Hotline on 1800043 642 as soon as possible.
