Even if sometimes a common toy can bring happiness on our kids’ faces, nothing is more memorable than a gift made with all the love in the world by a parent especially for his kiddo. With so many awesome tutorials on the web, I ended up with a list of more than 700 ideas on DIY gifts for kids that seemed interesting to me. However, as I mentioned, from previous experiences I’ve learn somethig valuable: kids are harder to impress compared to adults. So, I asked Donna, my little girl, and Brian, my best friend’s little boy to give me a hand by selecting only the gifts they would like to receive from my giant list, and I’m sure it was a good idea because I would have chosen something else entirely. Still, I must admit I’ve cheated a bit because I’ve added a few of my personal preferences, taking into account the fact that a 10 years old girl and an 8 years old boy will never choose something that isn’t fitted for their ages, like a memory game, for example. Are you curious to see the best DIY gift ideas for kids? Here they are! 1. How to Make an Angry Birds Can Toss Game Simple yet highly addictive, Angry Birds proves to be a hit, considering that more and more people (kids and adults) play it daily. Yes, it’s fun to play on the small screens of our phones, but how cool would be to play it in the real life? Well, you and your kids are about to find out because this tutorial shows you how to make a great Angry Birds game out of nothing. Not only that this will save your phone’s life, but it will also be a fun parent-kid activity, so you have to make it. See more at: DIYManiacs 2. DIY Child’s Playhouse from Fabric Miss Pretty Pretty sells the patterns (different themes) for this play house for $12 $25 and the finished product for $95-$250, so you can buy them right now, but I think I have an alternative approach… Daddy can build a cubic wooden frame by using some old pieces of wood, while mommy can repurpose a couple of old bed sheets by using them as raw material for the project.

Top 5 DIY Gifts for Kids

We all know how hard is to pick a gift for a child, considering that their view of what’s beautiful

or useful is highly different from ours. Even if sometimes a common toy can bring happiness on

our kids’ faces, nothing is more memorable than a gift made with all the love in the world by a

parent especially for his kiddo. With so many awesome tutorials on the web, I ended up with a

list of more than 700 ideas on DIY gifts for kids that seemed interesting to me. However, as I

mentioned, from previous experiences I’ve learn somethig valuable: kids are harder to impress

compared to adults. So, I asked Donna, my little girl, and Brian, my best friend’s little boy to

give me a hand by selecting only the gifts they would like to receive from my giant list, and I’m

sure it was a good idea because I would have chosen something else entirely. Still, I must admit

I’ve cheated a bit because I’ve added a few of my personal preferences, taking into account the

fact that a 10 years old girl and an 8 years old boy will never choose something that isn’t fitted

for their ages, like a memory game, for example. Are you curious to see the best DIY gift ideas

for kids? Here they are!

1. How to Make an Angry Birds Can Toss Game

Simple yet highly addictive, Angry Birds proves to be a hit, considering that more and more

people (kids and adults) play it daily. Yes, it’s fun to play on the small screens of our phones, but

how cool would be to play it in the real life? Well, you and your kids are about to find out

because this tutorial shows you how to make a great Angry Birds game out of nothing. Not only

that this will save your phone’s life, but it will also be a fun parent-kid activity, so you have to

make it.

2. DIY Child’s Playhouse from Fabric

Miss Pretty Pretty sells the patterns (different themes) for this play house for $12 – $25 and the

finished product for $95-$250, so you can buy them right now, but I think I have an alternative

approach… Daddy can build a cubic wooden frame by using some old pieces of wood, while

mommy can repurpose a couple of old bed sheets by using them as raw material for the project.

Cut five square pieces of fabric (make sure you measure the frame first), then go wild with

decorating them. Cut a door and two windows, sew a zipper for the door, add some ornaments

(flowers, dogs, mailbox etc.) made of old clothes, then sew the corners of your “walls” and the

playhouse is done. PS: Don’t forget the furniture!

3. Easy DIY Fort Kit for Adventurous Experiences

I think there is no kid in the whole world who doesn’t worship the idea of having his own fort.

You can make one for him, but a fort kit is even better considering that this is equally good for

outdoor and indoor playing. Besides, he can take it with him each time he spends the night at a

friend. The tutorial below will guide you to the simple process of making it, so follow the link.
