DIY FOR INSTALLING iOS2 SIM.

OK so first things first remove cowl for those that have it. Bolts labeled. Yellow. Then remove the 2

sensors. and peel off the cowl. I hope this part is basic. But I included it. Real basic.

Side bolt hidden that we couldn’t see in pic 1.

Next is remove the strut tower bar. This requires a reverse star key.

Once you get this off…I bend mine up a bit which helps with removing the covers in the next steps to

come.

First remove stock air box either top lid down to coupler shown here. Obviously I’m running

aftermarket but either way it has to come off.

Then we start removing the stock engine covers.

We can leave MAF clip attached just be careful. I just flipped my airfliter out of the way.

Pop wire harnesses out.

Pop Engine cover and wiggle out. If you lifted the strut tower bar up….it should come out fairly easy.

Middle Strut tower is best one to remove for this….i didn’t have a reverse star key big enough for the

job.

Top Plug is the one we need.

Connect Red Power from iO2 to the red/green wire on the plug. I went for a simple peel away and wrap

around.

In this order. Connect the black ground from iO2 to the Red/Grey wire on plug.

The white wire from iOS2 to the yellow wire of the plug. White wire goes towards the plug side.

Then connect the yellow wire from the iOS2 to the yellow wire from the plug. The yellow wire from the

plug is cut some leave yourself room.

Be sure as you are connecting each wire that you do not touch any wire to each other. Strip one wire at

a time. This will insure you don’t damage the unit. It is very sensitive. Improper connections can

damage the unit. Tapping wires, etc.

After a bit you will end up like this. I didn’t have enough time for EVAP to set when I took this log.

DTC free. All checks will pass and EVAP sets on its own. Has nothing to do with the iO2 device.
