MATERIALS

Take your comic book pages, and lay them all out, so that you won’t get your surface dirty when you paint.

Next, print and cut out your chosen symbol to paint on the shoes. Carefully cut out the symbol inside to turn it into a stencil. Then use a small piece of tape to hold the stencil together.

Next, get ready to paint the shoes by taking out the laces.

SUPERHERO HACK: Use and old rag or t-shirt to stuff in the shoe and keep it’s shape while you paint.

Then paint over the Converse circle with your base color; white for the Flash symbol, yellow for Batman, or any color of your choosing.

Then take your stencil, tape it in place with the painters tape, and dab paint over your stencil.

Make sure it is completely dry and then finish off any details you need with the fabric pen. Then add your cool laces, and that’s it! You now have some awesome custom superhero kicks!
