DIWALI “Illuminating our Lives and our Homes with the glam of Diyas

and the echo of the celebration”

LIGHTING THE LAMP

The traditional lamp was lit by Fr. Christie, Anthuvan Sir,

Aishwarya Ma’am, Agna Ma’am and Priyanandini from the F16

Batch.

THE SPEECHES

After the lighting of the Lamp, Fr. Christie addressed the

students about the festival of lights followed by Anthuvan Sir

explaining the origins of Diwali.

THE GAMES

The Diwali committee engaged both the F16’s and the F17’s

into fun filled games.

Mr. and Ms. PATAKA

The Diwali committee came up with a new event called the

Mr. and Ms. Pataka. Contestants were initially selected based

on votes from the students. Various rounds were conducted

and finally Sayan and Palak from F17 were crowned the

Mr. and Ms. Pataka

THE PERFORMANCES

The F16’s and the F17’s put up a beautiful dance performance

of various songs relating to Diwali. The F17’s performed the

traditional Garbha dance, followed by the whole batch dancing

to the lively music with their dandiya sticks.

THE DINNER

After the performances, the students were treated to a

sumptuous dinner. This was followed by the DJ night.

THE DJ NIGHT

The celebrations concluded with the DJ Night, with the DJ

playing a variety of songs. All the students enjoyed and danced

to the music.

The entire event was organized by the 360 Degrees - Student

Affairs Committee, and the ‘Diwali Committee’ of LIBA. The

whole event was beautifully captured by Albert and Arvind Raj

of F17.
