4:00 pm Mass Entrance The Wonderful Cross

1. When I survey the wondrous cross

on which the Prince of Glory died,

my richest gain I count but loss,

And pour contempt on all my pride

2. See from His head, His hands, His feet,

sorrow and love flow mingled down;

Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,

or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Refrain

O the wonderful cross,

O the wonderful cross

bids me come and die and find

that I may truly live.

O the wonderful cross,

O the wonderful cross;

All who gather here by grace

draw near and bless Your name.

3. Were the whole realm of nature mine,

that were an offering far too small.

Love so amazing, so divine,

demands my soul, my life, my all.

Offertory Be Sll and Know

1. Hide me now

under Your wings,

Cover me

within Your mighty hand.

Refrain

When the oceans rise

and the thunders roar.

I will soar with You

above the storm,

Father, You are King

over the flood,

And I will be sBll

and know You are God,

2. Find rest, my soul,

in Christ alone

Know His power

in quietness and trust.

(to refrain 2X…)

Be sBll and know

that I am God; (3X)

I am the God

that healeth thee; (3X)

Communion Now We Remain

Refrain We hold the death of the Lord

deep in our hearts.

Living, now we remain with

Jesus, the Christ.

1. Once we were people afraid,

lost in the night.

Then by your cross we were saved.

Dead became living,

life from your giving.

2. Something which we have known,

something we've touched,

what we have seen with our eyes:

this we have heard, life giving Word.

3. He chose to give of himself,

became our bread.

Broken that we might live.

Love beyond love, pain for our pain.

4. We are in the presence of God.

This is our call.

Now to become bread and wine:

food for the hungry,

life for the weary,

for to live with the Lord,

we must die with the Lord.

Sending Forth Blest Are They

1. Blest are they, the poor in spirit,

theirs is the kingdom of God.

Blest are they, full of sorrow,

they shall be consoled.

Refrain

Rejoice and be glad!

Blessed are you, holy are you!

Rejoice and be glad!

Yours is the kingdom of God!

Family Prayer

L oving and faithful God, through the years the people of our archdi-ocese have appreciated the pray-

ers and love of Our Lady of Prompt Suc-cor in times of war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the battle of today against violence,

murder and racism.

We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives re-

spect to the life and dignity of all people.

Bless parents that they may form their children in faith. Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemakers of our time. Give consolation to those who

have lost loved ones through violence.

Hear our prayer and give us the persever-ance to be a voice for life and human

dignity in our community.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to

help us.

Mother Henriette Delille, pray for us that

we may be a holy family.

they shall inherit the earth.

Blest are they who hunger and thirst,

they shall have their fill.

3. Blest are they who show mercy,

mercy shall be theirs.

Blest are they, the pure of heart,

they shall see God!

4. Blest are they who seek peace;

they are the children of God.

Blest are they who suffer in faith,

the glory of God is theirs.

5. Blest are you who suffer hate,

all because of me.

where saints and sinners are friends.

My feast of gladness

Offertory We Bring Our Gi&s

1. We bring our giTs

to your altar, O Lord God of hosts,

We lay them at the foot

of your throne.

We bring our giTs

to your altar, O Lord God of hosts,

We offer them to praise you alone.

We bring our giTs

to your altar, O Lord.

2. We bring our hearts

to your altar, O Lord God of hosts;

Unite them with the heart

of your Son.

For he offered his life

as a ransom for sin;

By his death the victory is won.

We bring our hearts

to your altar, O Lord.

3. Prepare our hearts to

receive you, O Lord God of hosts;

Cleanse us and wash away our sins.

We sing your praise with the angels

and saints at your throne,

For this is where heaven enters in.

Prepare our hearts

to receive you, O Lord.

4. We bring our giTs to your altar,

O Lord God of hosts;

May our sacrifice be

pleasing in your sight,

fruit of the earth

and work of human hands,

Which will become for us

the Bread of Life.

We bring our giTs

to your altar, O Lord.

We bring our giTs

to your altar, O Lord.

10:30 am Mass Entrance There's a Wideness in God's Mercy

1. There's a wideness in God's mercy

Like the wideness of the sea;

There's a kindness in God’s jusBce,

Which is more than liberty.

There is plenBful redempBon

In the blood that has been shed;

There is joy for all the members

In the sorrows of the Head.

2. There is welcome for the sinner,

And a promised grace made good;

There is mercy with the Savior;

There is healing in Christ’s blood.

There is grace enough for thousands

Of new worlds as great as this;

There is room for fresh creaBons

In that upper home of bliss.

Refrain

So be merciful,

just as our God is merciful.

Be merciful,

just as our God is merciful to us.

Let there be a wideness in our mercy.

Let there be a kindness in our hearts.

Oh, may our lives be merciful.

3. For the love of God is broader

Than the measures of the mind;

And the heart of the Eternal

Is most wonderfully kind.

If our love were but more simple,

We would know the living word;

And our lives would be thanksgiving

In the kindness of our Lord.

4. There's a wideness in God's mercy

Like the wideness of the sea;

There's a kindness in God’s jusBce,

Which is more than liberty.

There is plenBful redempBon

In the blood that has been shed;

There is joy for all the members

in the sorrows of the Head.

Sending Forth I Could Sing of Your Love Forever

1. Over the mountains and the sea

Your river runs with love for me,

and I will open up my heart,

and let the Healer set me free.

I'm happy to be in the truth,

and I will daily liT my hands,

for I will always sing of

when Your love came down, yeah.

I could sing of Your love forever,

I could sing of Your love forever.

In July 2015, a beautiful garden Memorial for children

who attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School and/or

who worshipped at St. Elizabeth/Divine Mercy was dedi-

cated on our school grounds. It was gifted by some of

our SEAS families in memory of their children and oth-

ers who have died. The Memorial is outside the doors of

the school office and eventually will be moved to the

new school grounds when our new school is built. You

are invited to visit and offer a prayer for our children any

time.

If you or anyone you know would like to add a name to

this Memorial in memory of a young or an adult child

who attended SEAS or worshipped in our church com-

munity, please feel free to contact Mary T or Jim

deBrueys so that we can help make that possible. Our

number is 225-388-9822 (home office).

When a sinful woman bathes Jesus’ feet with her tears, dries them with her hair, and anoints them with ointment, He demonstrates forgiveness in the Phari-see’s house. The St. Joseph Missal points out that, “Jesus does not condone what she has been doing. He forgives.” Because Life Teen and Edge are cen-tered on the Eucharist with activities that lead youth closer to Christ, you are invited to join us as we imi-tate Christ by showing forgiveness in our homes, schools and communities.

Pope Benedict XVl There is nothing we can do in this life that will lead God to abandon us. No matter how far we fall He reaches out with love to lift us up. The price He paid for our salvation cannot be equaled, much less surpassed. However, we can resist to the end and of our own free will separate ourselves from Him eternally. The time we spend on earth is precious, each day gives us many opportunities to unite our hearts with His Heart through repentance and reparation for our past sins. We can ask to unite our hearts with His, and His de-light would be to point to the open wound in His Heart and invite us to dwell there in peace and safety. There-fore, with Mary our mother at our side, let us hasten without delay to His invitation: “Come to me, all you “Come to me, all you “Come to me, all you “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 On Sunday, June 12th, our parish will be enthroned to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. At that time many graces will be poured out upon us; let us open our hearts to receive.

Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself en-tirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.
