The Diversity sign system allows for a unified look that works well in any environment and includes all the necessary sign types:

Diversity is a sustainable sign system that significantly reduces your cost of updates. The end-user is able to make simple changes and updates to room/cubicle signs with the use of transparencies and any desktop printer. Changes to larger signs are made through the use of digitally printed waterfast media.

Using the Diversity sign system allows the following changes to be made:

• An occupant’s name or title

• The name or function of a room

• Directory or directional information

• Backgrounds to accommodate interior design or logo updates

How It Works-Components

Curved Frame & End-CapsA sturdy and stylish curved aluminum frame,available in clear anodized or black, provides the base for the sign. Standard end-caps are available in black or gray plastic. Some sizes require metal end-caps.

Printed Background InsertThis durable color printed insert provides the visualbackground for the sign. This insert remains in place whenthe transparency layer is updated. The material is a satin coated, tear-resistant, rigid PVC media with a waterfast coating.The backgrounds are characterized by high color brilliance, high image definition and long durability.

TransparencyThe end-user updateable transparency insert is created on an ink jet or laser printer using an MS Word template.

ADA or Non-ADA LensThe ADA compliant sign lens is made of1/16” matte-clear substrate with 1/32”raised characters and corresponding domed Grade II Braille.

Fire Alarm

In the event of a fire:

Activate the nearest fire alarm pull station.Dial ‘0’ to report location of fire to the reception operator.Evacuate the building.

In the event of a tornado warning:

You will be notified by a member of the Emergency Response Team to take cover in designated areas.Stay away from any exterior glass windows.

In the event of a power failure:

If you are in a classroom, you should instruct your students to stay seated until instructed to do otherwise.You will be notified by a member of the Emergency Response Team to evacuate the building if it becomes necessary to do so.If an emergency arises during the power failure, go to the Reception Area and report the emergency.

In the event of a health emergency:

Dial ‘0’ and report the location and nature of the emergency to the reception operator.If it is a life-threatening situation, dial ‘911’ immediately, then notify the reception operator.

In the event of a bomb threat:

If you receive a phone call about a bomb threat,you should remain calm and keep the caller on the linefor as long as possible.Try to get as much information from the caller as you can.If possible, send someone to notify the reception operator.

In the event of a shooting (violent behavior):

Exit the area immediately if it is safe to do so.Notify anyone you may encounter to exit immediately.Evacuate to a safe indoor location away from danger.If you are directly involved in an incident and exitingthe area is not possible,the following actions are recommended:Get to a nearby office or classroom.Lock the doors if possible.Remain quiet and act as if no one is in the room.Wait for police or security to assist you out of the building. Guidelines for Updating Wall Mounted Room Signs, Cubical Signs and Free Standing Desk Signs.

• Using the supplied template, print an updated transparency and trim to the proper size.

• To remove the lens from the frame, use the suction cup to pull on the center of the lens.

• With the lens removed, replace the old transparency with the newly created one.

• Replace the lens carefully, insuring that the background and transparency are not damaged.

• Apply a mild glass cleaner to a soft, lint-free rag to remove any fingerprints.

• Do not spray directly on the sign.

• Do not use industrial strength cleaners.
