Come learn from Anne Finch  what it means to be a successful leader in today’s workplace. Anne  will use her past professional and personal experiences to talk about how to approach the career path as a "lattice" vs. a "ladder," how to effectively manage up and down, and the importance of being the real "you" in the work- place. Additionally, Anne will talk about how to balance a ca- reer you enjoy, a family, and the time necessary to invest in your education and other personal activities without going crazy!  Anne has a Doctorate in Organi- zation Development and a Mas- ters in Software Engineering from The University of St. Tho- mas. Anne also has a Bachelor Degree in Business Science from the University of Minnesota and Degrees in Computer Opera- tions/Programming from Cen- tury Technical College.  Anne is currently responsible for: Managing business demand for IT services, aligning with business and IT strategic plans, assessing and securing IT capacity, manag- ing and tracking UHC’s large portfolio of Programs and Pro- jects, providing portfolio dashboards that ensure transparency to the delivery and fiscal quality, and providing leadership and expertise in program and project management best practices.  Anne has 25 years of experience in Information Technology having started her technology career as a “PC Technician/Helpdesk/ Programmer Analyst/Tape Librar- ian” at Midwest Federal. Anne has  worked at: USBank, St. Jude Medi- cal, Assurant, Fortis, Health Part- ners, Arthur Andersen, MedVision, MedPower, and MidWest Federal. Her roles within these organizations have included: IT Governance, Development Management, IT Operations, Security, Compliance, Service Desk/Helpdesk, Desktop Support, Web Development, ITIL/ Process Reengineering, Project Management Office, Technology  Training, IT Finance, Implementing Shared Services, Consulting, Field Implementation s, User Experience, and Executive Assessment & Coaching.
