Introduction

Background

More than 30 orders in the insecta class in the world, one of them is

Order Odonata.

3 suborder- Anisoptera- Zygoptera

- Anisozygoptera(Williams, 1992)

Dragonfly is an aquatic insect.Odonata do play

important role as bioindicator.

Problem Statement

Less information on

the diversity and abundance

of Odonata.

The activities of construction and

excavation of

some land nearby National

Botanical Garden Shah

Alam .

Significance of StudyCan act as indicator and

references for further studies on diversity and abundance

of Odonata.

Beneficial to create awareness among us the important of dragonfly to determine the

ecosystem quality.

Objectives of

Study

To determine the temporal variation in

diversity and abundance of

Odonata in National Botanical Garden

Shah Alam .

To determine diversity and abundance of

Odonata population in National Botanical Garden Shah Alam between two lakes.
