The City Administrator reports directly to the Mayor and has directoversight over all execudve-reporing agencies. The City Administrator prepares the District's annualoperating budget and provides direction to all agencies to ensure they are meeting the needs of Districtresidents.

Children's National Medical Center is the preeminent pediatric healthcare system in the DC/MD/NorthernVA region and provides acute and chronic care for approximately 160,000 children, adolescents, and youthfrom around the region, nation and world by our internationally recognized healthcare professionals.
Our hospital was founded in 1870 and CNMC now includes a 313-bed hospital with nearly 15,000admissions, over 17,000 surgeries, 468,000 outpatient visits across the institution last year. Likewise, CNMCserves as the medical safety net for the children of the region. Through our nine Centers of Excellence; sevencommunity health centers in the District; eight regional outpatient facilities in Maryland and Virginia; 6,000employees; more than 900 volunteers; the Mobile Health Program with 34 locations; the School ServicesProgram with 190 nurses in DC's school system; and the Children's National Health Network with over1,800 members and 400 pediatric specialists in six states, CNMC brings health care to the area's diversecommunity. Children's National is also the area's referral center for pediatric emergency, trauma (a Level Itrauma center, and level III C Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), cancer, cardiac disease, critical care,neonatology, orthopedic surgery, neurology, and neurosurgery.

By bringing people together in a group purchase, Groundswell makes wind and solar power more affordable and enables people to live more sustainably.

ARI is a leading center for research, training and technical assistance on the topic of critical infrastructure resilience and disaster risk management. We have carried out extensive research on critical infrastructure resilience and disaster risk reduction in the District of Columbia and the National Capital Region with support from the U. S. Dear Mr. Geldart: In support of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC), the District is developing Resilien-Seeds, an innovative program focused on building holistic resiliency at the community level by integrating social, economic, and infrastructure projects. Recognizing that resilience is a continuous process incorporated throughout a comprehensive emergency management program, the District is taking advantage of this unique grant opportunity to build upon previous efforts and create a legacy of resilience throughout the District.
This letter is to confirm the mutual intent of both the District of Columbia and the Pleasant Plains Civic Association to collaborate in order to enhance resiliency within the District. To that end, District of Columbia and the Pleasant Plains Civic Association enter into a partner agreement—contingent upon the award of funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC)—to carry out eligible activities as provided in the District’s NDRC application.
Within Resilien-Seeds, the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) will oversee the Resilience Program Management Office (PMO) and serve as the primary agency for this program. The Pleasant Plains Civic Association will provide input and support in identifying and developing projects within Resilien-Seeds. Upon award of HUD NDRC grant funds, the Pleasant Plains Civic Association will support in executing Resilien-Seeds.
It is understood that this letter is only an expression of our intent to support the District’s NDRC efforts. A binding partner agreement detailing the terms and conditions of the proposed partnership will be executed by both parties before the use of any funds.
