Million Tree Miami:

Million TREES Miami Campaign is a Community-wide effort to plant 1 million trees by 2020 in order to achieve a 30% tree canopy cover for Miami-Dade

County.

Our campaign was developed by the Miami-Dade Community Image Advisory Board and was born of the idea that a healthy and sustainable urban forest

provides significant social, economic, and environmental benefits that fosters a high quality, livable, vibrant, and beautiful community.

In order to reach our urban tree canopy goal of 30% EVERYONE needs to

participate.

To join the effort, please click HERE.

Green Tip: On the Road - From using mass transit to following some car driving tips, there are ways to lessen our impact on the environment while on the move. • Avoid car idling - running your car without moving - to decrease emissions and fuel waste. • Driving above 60 mph wastes gas at a more rapid pace, as does quick acceleration and hard braking. For more green tips, please visit this website.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or my staff at 305-375-5511.
