Lets get real about who our studentsare now!

Distance Learning — October 1st, 2019

This article, by Dr Cathy Stone (University of Newcastle, Australia) argues that"University policies and processes are still too often designed with full-time school-leaversin mind"

As distance educators, you will be interested in this article, which makes a case for universities tothink about students differently.

This plea is certainly not new to you at all, but the study Dr Stone has done and the material she hasdrawn together may be useful when you are making a case or trying to explain how assumptionsabout how, when and why students come to university need to be questioned!

The link to the Campus Morning Mail article is here.

The report of the study that Cathy Stone undertook and published in 2017 is here.
