THRIVING

ON DISRUPTION Focus on disruptive innovation because

sustaining innovation is no longer enough.

Just doing what you have always done

leaves you open to disruption by others. It

is increasingly possible to harness

disruptive innovation and your executives

need to understand the causes, impact

and how to thrive, not simply survive.

MANAGEDISRUPTION.COM

We provide specialist expertise regarding

what technology really works and what

doesn’t

Page 3: Disruptve Literacy Workshop

companies of all sizes grow in new ways

Implementing Advanced Technology used to take years

to do. Now implementation times are right down.

You don’t have to own technology skills or infrastructure

to implement disruptive business models.

Bringing an idea to market needs an accelerated

process, we can help you develop that.

It is really hard as a business

person to be creative using

technology to boost your

business if you don’t

understand the capabilities

that are available

OUTCOMES

The Language of Disruption for Decision Makers

Page 5: Disruptve Literacy Workshop

Description:

The 2016 World Economic Forum global survey on the Future of Jobs identified that an ’insufficient understanding of disruptive change’ was the single biggest challenge faced by corporations today. This is not a new challenge but one that is becoming more common across the globe and all industry sectors, including functions and business units previously seemingly remote from innovation and the difficult choices it presents.

This workshop is designed to provide decision makers with the knowledge and tools to identify, assess and harness the forces of disruption that challenge their industry and be able to respond more quickly and effectively as a result.

It incorporates a diagnostic tool to assess disruptive impacts prior to, during and post workshop providing a valuable footprint of the learning journey and an assessment to take share and develop back in the organisation.

Objectives:

Bring the attendees to a common understanding of how disruption relates to your company/industry

Demonstrate that disruptive forces can be identified and assessed and conform to certain rules

Provide a framework to assess disruptive change and how this maps to your environment

Supply tools that enable attendees to work on disruptive innovation

What’s different:

Attendees will complete a disruptive innovation assessment prior to, during and post the workshop to visualise the impact of their learning and create an assessment to take away

Attendees will attend an online webinar a week before the workshop to introduce the content and facilitators and ensure expectations are set and met

Attendees will develop a ‘disruptive change’ assessment for their company, business unit or function during the workshop for use post workshop

Though challenging, the workshop is highly interactive and participative with regular group work and feedback

Who is the workshop suitable for:

Managers struggling to grasp the impact of disruption for their industry, company, business unit or function and in need of greater clarity and tools to accelerate and improve the decisions they need to take.

Delivery Type: On-site workshop tailored and delivered by content and learning facilitation experts, Marc DOWD and Brendan DUNPHY

Duration: 1 or 2 days

Additional Comments:

The ideal scenario is for attendees from across functions/business units to ensure a common understanding and shared tools and assessments.

BUILDING DISRUPTION

AWARENESS

CREATING DISRUPTIVE

BUSINESS MODELS

PROTOTYPE TO PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY PARTNER

IDENTIFICATION

We work with you throughout the process of setting up a successful and disruptive business model.

You do not need to have technology skills or even experience in building new business models as

those are talents that are not part of what you do day-to-day.

You run your business today and we will bring you the ideas for the business of tomorrow in parallel.

Understanding what drives disruption allows

you to become disruptive. You need to

understand what Vectors of Disruption are

available to you in order to take advantage of

them. Not everything works of course so a

guide who can put things in business language

is vital.

Finding out if your idea will work no-longer

needs years of effort and a fully working

business that you “hope” will have success. We

work with you to create tests and prototypes

that give you the confidence of knowing that

you will be successful.

When it is time to develop your business model

into the production stage you do not have to

take on specialist technology skills and assets.

We will introduce you to, and keep an eye on,

technology partners who will make your new

disruptive business run smoothly.

We use the latest tools and techniques

gathered from startups and leading corporates

to build business models that focus on

disruptive elements. This quick and easy

process identifies business options which are

costed and testable. The key to business today

is agility.

CREATING

SUCCESS

In competitive markets, where there is

little to differentiate you from others, it is

difficult to be successful. Technology is

currently at a point where anyone can

“change the game”. New growth and

value is possible based on existing

offerings delivered in new ways. Success

today comes from helping customers do

what they never thought they could

achieve. We help you create that success.

LET US

GUIDE

YOU

I’m Marc Dowd the

founder of Manage

Disruption Limited. I love

technology and dedicate

myself to researching

how innovations can

drive business growth.

I have the talent of being

able to turn the most

complicated of technical

ideas into simple

business language which

allows business people

like yourselves to

understand how they can

be used to their business

advantage.

For most of the last

decade I did this for large

multi-billion pound

turnover companies.

Recently I realised that

the situation has

changed and that large

companies a poorly

placed to be disruptive.

While I still have

corporate clients I

increasingly work with

smaller more agile

companies where the

change is happening.

I look forward to working

with you.
