As a Florida licensed veterinarian, your biennial license renewal deadline is May 31, 2018. You should receive your renewal notice from the Florida Board of Veterinary Medicine by the end of March, 2018. Please contact the Board to ensure your contact information is accurate if you do not receive your notice, as failure to receive notification does not relieve you of the responsibility of license renewal and you may also be disciplined for failure to report an address change.

Florida Administrative Code, Rule 61G18-30.001 Disciplinary Guidelines (nn), Failing to report a change of address to the Board within sixty (60) days thereof: The usual action of the Board shall be an administrative fine of one thousand dollars (S1,000).

You may renew your Florida license online at www.MyFloridaLicense.com, by calling the customer contact center at (850) 487-1395 with a credit card, or by returning the renewal notice to the Board with the appropriate fee.

To renew your license, you must have completed a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education between June 1, 2016 and May 31, 2018. One hour must be in the area of dispensing legend drugs, and two hours in the area of the laws and rules governing the practice of veterinary medicine.

The FVMA’s 3-Hour Combined Online Course satisfies this requirement. You are invited to take advantage of our discounted member rate of $109 when purchasing the course and ensure you receive all the other benefits members receive, by joining the FVMA.

As a Florida licensed veterinarian, resident or non-resident, you have a vested interest in protecting your ability to practice in Florida when you are a member of the Association.
