Tips on Your Visit

These suggestions will help you make the most of your visit to the Magic Kingdom, saving you time, energy and steps while you enjoy all there is to see and do.

A two-day visit is recommended for maximum enjoyment of all six lands. A second day also allows you time to have

lunch in one of the Walt Disney World resorts, or to explore our tropical paradise, Discovery Island.

Wait periods sometimes occur at the most popular attractions; the best time to visit these attractions is in the late afternoon, after 3 p.m .

During the afternoon hours, the shortest wait times are at the following attractions:

Walt Disney World Railroad • . .•. • • • .• . •. . Main Street, U.S.A. Pirates of the Caribbean ••• •• ••• . • • . •. •.••... Adventureland Liberty Square Riverboats . .. ...• • • •.. . • . • . .. Liberty Square Mickey .Mouse Revue ••• • • . . . • . • . •..••..•.... • • Fantasyland WEDway People.Mover ....•• • •••. . .......• . • • T omorrowland

You will also find minimal wait lines at the following complimentary attractions:

"If You Had Wings" (Eastern Airlines) • • .. ....• Tomorrowland Circle Vision 360 "America the Beautiful"

(.Monsanto) •• •.•.... . • •• . ...••....•••• • •• Tomorrowland Carousel of Progress (General Electric) . .• • •••. Tomorrowland

Use the map on pages 14-15 to save time and energy.

18

Attractions: Let the descriptions listed on pages 5-13 help you decide which attractions you want to

see. Locate and check these on the accompanying map, then follow the checked attractions around the Magic Kingdom. We suggest you begin in Tomorrowland on your first visit and in Adventureland on your second. Your Magic Kingdom ticket books will enable you to see many varied attractions. And, for your convenience, individual attraction coupons also may be purchased at ticket booths noted on map.

Dining: Hungry? There are a variety of restaurants and snack centers within seconds of your

Magic Kingdom location. To save time, we suggest you stop for lunch either before noon or after 2 p.m. Then sample one of our other restaurants for a relaxing dinner before you leave this evening. All dining facilities, indicated in red on the accompanying map, are described under their respective lands on pages 5-13.

Shopping: You'll find everything from Disney souvenirs to antiques. We suggest you shop in early

or mid-afternoon, then check your purchases in a Main Street Railroad Station locker and avoid the hectic pace of "late-exit shopping." Shops, noted In yellow on the accompanying map, are described under their respective lands on pages 5-13.

Relaxing: Drifting on an afternoon cruise to tropical Discovery Island (p. 20), unwinding with

cocktails at a Walt Disney World resort hotel (p. 22-25), " discovering" The Walt Disney World Village including the exciting Empress Lilly riverboat restaurant (p. 26-27), or diving Into the water at River Country (p. 20) are great ways to relax. Why not make relaxation an important part of your Walt Disney World day? Transportation information (Inside front cover).

Lake Buena Vista Walt Disney World Village at Lake Buena Vista

There's another side to Walt Disney World that you simply have to experience. It's the Village. Where else can you see Old World craftsmen working with pottery, cutting crystal and inlaying gold?

Where else can you find designer Cane, Wicker and Rattan treasures, candle crafts. and New York designer fashions all in one cluster of 30-plus shops and restaurants nestled beside a shimmering blue lagoon? And where else could you dine on a Mississippi showboat?

The answer to all these questions is "nowhere else!" That's why you should visit Walt Disney World Village on your way home tonight or some time in the very near future. It's open every day, including holidays, from I 0 till I 0 and it's only minutes from the main parking lot.

If you haven't seen The Village, you haven't seen all of Walt Disney World.
