Human Coronavirus DISINFECTING HARD AND SOFT SURFACES USING A FOGGING MACHINE The spread of COVID-19 across the globe has everyone working hard to disinfect buildings and public spaces. The use of a fogging machine is an effective way to disinfect hard and soft surfaces in mass. According to the EPA Emerging Pathogen Policy, State has a number of disinfecting products that can be used through a fogging machine to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn while fogging any space. This includes gloves, safety glasses and a respirator. The following State products can be used through a fogging machine with these instructions. Pour Triple Quick into reservior. ∙ Hold fogger six to eight inches from surface to be treated. ∙ Spray area until it is covered with the mist. ∙ Allow surface to remain wet for 2 mins. ∙ Let air dry. ∙ Do not enter room or building within two hours of the actual fogging and a minimum of 4 air exchanges (ACH) per hour in the facility. ∙ PPE: Gloves, safety glasses, respirator. ∙ No dilution necessary. Add solution to reservoir. ∙ Hold fogger six to eight inches from surface to be treated. ∙ Spray area until it is covered with the mist. ∙ Treated surfaces must remain wet for 10 minutes. ∙ Let air dry.
