Task 1- Planning• Your task is to write a
script (at least a paragraph) to promote your subject area or a topic within your subject area..
You could include: - • An extract or quote• Topic outline• Highlights of the year• Competitions
eg: ICT in year 9
You will be learning how to create multimedia
publications. Creating games in Flash! Unique images in Fireworks and
sequencing in movie maker. You will create your
very own website to showcase all of your fantastic work….etc
etc……
Task 2- Recording• Using Audacity-
record your Podcast using the function buttons
• The recording appears here
• To edit or delete sections click and drag on the area
• You can add special effects
Task 3- Saving the Podcast• Click on File from the
menu…..• Export as WAV• Or • Export as MP3
Make sure that the LAME MP3 encoder has been installed if you want to save as an MP3 file.

• Record a Podcast of your choice.• Make sure that you script the Podcast first
so you know exactly what you are going to say.
• Listen to your Podcast and edit the recording using some special effects.
• Export the Podcast into an appropriate file type…WAV( larger file) or MP3( smaller file)…

• Make sure you have the software installed on your computer
• To save as an ‘MP3 file’ you need additional free converter software
• Both of these are on your USB key and links to the sources are on the last slide.
