CLUB STABILITY
Choosing the right club is serious business.
In the early 1970s, Palm Desert Joint Ventures and Equitable Life Insurance formed a joint venture to create a private club in the desert like no other. With all available homes sold, The Springs became member-owned in 1983 and continues to thrive today. A 9-member board of directors oversees the immediate and long-term needs of the community while prioritizing a secure financial future.

New golf membership contracts are open-ended. Members may resign any time with six-month’s written notice. The Springs does not prorate monthly dues and resignation will begin the first day of the following month after receipt of a notice. Members are responsible for the remaining six months of dues and any other expenses incurred after receipt of a notice. Once resigned, a member may not rejoin for 18 months without paying past dues that would have been owed since resignation.
All golf memberships require a deposit of 2-months’ dues. Memberships begin on the first day of the following month. Pre-paid dues are applied to the first 2 months of membership.

WHAT CLUB PRIVILEGES DO HOMEOWNERS RECEIVE?Homeowners receive a full social membership. This includes dining privileges, social events and activities, access to the Fitness and Spa Center, tennis, pickleball and bocce privileges, access for up to 6 rounds of golf during season and unlimited rounds off season at the regular golf guest fee, access to the driving range after 2PM daily and discounted shopping at the Pro Shop/Boutique.
DO I NEED TO BE A RESIDENT TO BECOME A MEMBER?No, being a resident is not a requirement for membership at The Springs.

Dress Codes & Guidelines
MenMen’s shirts must have collars and sleeves, and must be tucked into slacks or golf shorts. Shirts must be tucked in unless designed to be un-tucked (banded bottom shirts are allowable). Pants and Bermuda length shorts are acceptable.
LadiesWomen’s shirts must have collars — or a high neckline if sleeveless — and be conservative in nature. Collarless tops must have sleeves. Golf shorts, skirts and skorts (no shorter than 4” above the knee) are acceptable.
AllAll caps and visors must have the bill facing forward. Golf shoes with soft spikes, tennis and soft-sole shoes are permitted. Larger rubber, metal spike or field shoes are not permitted.
Denim of any color, cargo shorts, tee-shirts, halter tops, tank tops, cut offs, workout attire, tennis dresses and swimwear are not allowed on the golf course or driving range.
The Golf Shop staff has been directed to inform any member or guest when their attire is not appropriate. Playing privileges may be denied any member or guest not in compliance.
GOLF COURSE & DRIVING RANGE
“The Courts” Tennis Park at the SpringsBermuda length shorts, skirts, slacks, dressy denim, dress shirts, golf shirts, mock and quality/tasteful tee shirts, sweaters, turtlenecks, tennis attire and tennis warm-ups. Shoes must be worn at all times and quality sandals are acceptable for both ladies and gentlemen. No black-soled shoes on the tennis courts please. Caps, visors and hats are allowed in the Tennis Club, Oasis, 19th Hole and Grill room until 6:00 pm. Shirts must be tucked in unless designed to be un-tucked.
The Courts Dress Code ReminderProper tennis attire is required for play on the courts at The Springs. Clothing manufactured for tennis is required for men, women and children. Bermuda shorts, cut offs, or gym shorts are not permitted. Running shoes or any other type of training shoes are not permitted as they leave black marks on the courts. Please advise your guests of our dress policy.
THE COURTS
Within the Clubhouses and Oasis, cell phones should be on silent mode and used only for emergencies on a very discretionary basis. Please step outside or away from others to a discreet location when answering or making a call. Please respect the peaceful use of the Club by other members and guests, especially in the dining rooms and on the golf course. Use of cell phones for texting, email and silent activities is allowed.

“Will I fit in? Will I like the people there?” These are among the biggest questions when considering a new club — and rightly so. That’s why we created the Ambassador Program to welcome and integrate new members into The Springs from the start.
The goal of the program is to introduce new members to the community and encourage active club participation. Ambassadors are carefully selected by the Club’s management team and represent a variety of backgrounds and membership classifications.

The Springs’ Lifestyle/Membership Manager will assign a new member to their Ambassador within the first 60 days of membership. After a new member completes the orientation process, their background information is shared with all Ambassadors to determine the best match.
Ambassadors are prepared to answer any questions a new member may have, introduce them to fellow members and invite them to participate in a round of golf, social events, or any other activities that will help further introduce them to the community and all The Springs has to offer.
