Discovery Education has a lot of great tools for teachers. While there are a lot of free resources available on the site, you can get the most out of it by signing in with your DiscoveryEd username/password. If you have not yet set up your account, you can do so using the code from the Curriculum Office.
Even if you do not have a
subscription, there are tons of great resources available for free. Choosing the Teacher menu will open a drop down box with all of your free options. You can browse by grade level, explore lesson plans, create puzzles, and more!

The student menu is a great
resource for homework help in almost any subject. Students can also visit WebMath for math specific help.

The Parent menu has a
selection of resources for parents to use with their students at home.
Teacher Home Page
The Teacher Home Page gives you access to all of the tools and subscriptions available. From here, you can access video content, tools, blogs, webinars, and more! Don't forget to set up your profile at some point!
My Content lets you save media so you can access it easily later on. You can also set up classes and assign certain media to specific classes and/or students. The Builder Tool is perhaps the best one - add media to assignments, quizzes, and more!
Topic searches can be sorted and narrowed by grade level, subject, media type, and more. Once you have found the media you want, you can download it, watch it streaming online, or add it to your content folder for easy access later.

In addition to searching by
topic, you can also search by Curriculum Content Standards. You can drill down to more detailed levels in the standards search to find media to fit your lessons and standards exactly.

Discovery Education has a wonderful library of professional development resources for teachers. From here, you can access video tutorials, user guides, and more. You can even sign up for webinars on a variety of subjects.
