• Define a watershed• Describe the physical characteristics of a watershed• Differentiate between the non-living and living components of an

environment• Identify plants and animals that live in lakes, ponds, streams and

wetlands.• Identify organisms that are dependent on one another in an

ecosystem.• Identify different types of pollution and their sources.• Write multi-paragraph informational pieces (e.g., descriptions,

letters, reports, instructions)• Use relevant graphics (maps, charts, graphs, tables, illustrations,

photographs).
