sEmi-auTomaTic TRansmission (sE5™)No clutch lever. No foot shifter. The semi-automatic 5-speed transmission uses paddle shifting, like sports cars do, for quicker, smoother shifts. Simply apply pressure with your left thumb to shift up and use your forefinger to downshift. It also features reverse for increased maneuverability.

manual TRansmission (sm5™)Fluid motion stems from the smooth, 5-speed gearbox created specifically for the Can-Am roadster. It also features reverse for increased maneuverability.

Transmission Options

Unique Suspension GeometryDesigned to increase tire-to-ground contact, the unique suspension geometry redirects forces to reduce load on suspension components and minimize body roll during cornering, maximizing handling performance. Paired with precise front and rear suspension tuning, it also improves rider and passenger comfort. As a result, turns are tighter and more stable for precise handling and a more comfortable ride.

Brembo† Braking SystemDesigned specifically for Can-Am roadsters by the world leader in performance-braking technology, the braking system improves performance and responsiveness for a confident ride.

Rotax EngineEvery roadster is powered by a proven 998cc Rotax V-Twin engine that offers crisp acceleration and plenty of torque. Plus, an electronic throttle control for better response and fuel efficiency. Most models also feature cruise control.

TRacTion conTRol sysTEmWhenever the Traction Control System detects excessive rear wheel spin (e.g., in slippery conditions), it reduces engine torque by regulating engine ignition and fuel injection. This enables the roadster to accelerate with minimum corrective input from the rider.

sTaBiliTy conTRol sysTEm The stability control assesses your intended direction via the handlebar and determines the vehicle’s appropriate response. The system individually applies the brakes to the wheels and/or reduces excess engine torque until control is regained.

anTi-locK BRaKing sysTEm (aBs)Sensors monitor the rotation of all three wheels. If any of the wheels is at risk of locking, ABS reduces brake pressure on it. This intervention repeats in rapid succession and can be performed independently on each wheel, allowing for maximum braking performance.

Vehicle Stability SystemDeveloped in partnership with BOSCH∞ and inspired by automotive technologies, the Vehicle Stability System integrates ABS, traction control and stability control for an incredibly confident ride.

Anti-Theft SystemThe Digitally Encoded Security System (D.E.S.S.™) helps protect the Can-Am roadster from theft or other unauthorized use. The vehicle will not start unless the rider uses the correctly coded electronic key.

Dynamic Power SteeringThe electronically controlled power steering system provides the rider with a varying amount of assistance, depending on the speed of the vehicle. So it’s always easy to maneuver and steer, no matter what type of rider you are.
