• Most of us will think that disaster will never happen in our life, but it is an absolutely wrong thinking. But when situation like these happen, it is important that we have kept some survival tactics with us so we are able to surpass this desperate situation.
• If you are warned to evacuate your home or move to another location, do so promptly and follow the instructions given by the local authorities. If certain travel routes are specified or recommended, use those routes rather than trying to find shortcuts on your own.
• Follow what the authorities said if you are told to turn off your water, gas, or electric service, do it immediately before leaving the house. Find out on the radio where emergency housing and mass feeding stations are located in case you need to use them.

Ready your packed survival supplies
• Emergency Supplies in a backpack for your car-pack and pack your supplies in a bucket for the house. Go to the local home supply store and get 5-gallon buckets with the snap-on lids.
• Consider supplies in the categories of clothing, food, shelter, and safety. Put in some non-perishable items that are easy to eat such as protein or energy bars, meat jerky, and canned snack-sized fruit. Be sure to pack enough water. Have a sleeping bag with plastic ground cloths and tent for shelter, and pack some money for both kits.

• For the house kit, pack additional food and water and know what important items you want to take with you if you need to evacuate. Keep a carbon filter water pitcher in the refrigerator, and several fresh filters inserts standing by.
• Get all the surviving tools as well as equip yourself with some survival tactics since you might need it along the way. Being prepared is what will keep you alive and fine during these circumstances.
