Introduction Background 1. This Annex to the Disaggregated Markets - Leased Lines discussion document
(March 2006), contains the full set of maps developed for the Network Reach analysis workstream and the Market Share analysis workstream (see Annex 6 and Annex 7 of the discussion document).
2. Network Reach analysis maps are presented for two different scenarios based on the maximum build distance from operators’ PoPs. The first scenario assumes a maximum distance of 250m; the second assumes a maximum of 500m.
3. Market share maps are presented for the eight leased lines product markets:
• retail low bandwidth traditional interface leased lines (up to and including 8Mbit/s);
• wholesale low bandwidth traditional interface symmetric broadband origination (up to and including 8Mbit/s);
• retail high bandwidth traditional interface leased lines (above 8Mbit/s up to and including 155Mbit/s);
• wholesale high bandwidth traditional interface symmetric broadband origination (above 8Mbit/s up to and including 155Mbit/s);
• retail very high bandwidth traditional interface leased lines (above 155Mbit/s);
• wholesale very high bandwidth traditional interface symmetric broadband origination (above 155Mbit/s);
• retail alternative interface leased lines at all bandwidths;
• wholesale alternative interface symmetric broadband origination at all bandwidths.
Map Reference For the purposes of presenting the results of these analyses, the UK was divided into thirteen areas for mapping1: 1. Greater London 2. Eastern England 3. South East England 4. Southern England 5. South West England 6. Wales & West Midlands
1 Network Reach maps and Market Share maps were also developed for the six largest UK cities on an identical basis to the maps presented here, and are discussed in the discussion document.

7. Central England 8. North West England 9. North East England 10. Northern England / Southern Scotland 11. Central Scotland 12. Northern Scotland 13. Northern Ireland Maps are marked with postal area boundaries and labels, and the full list of these 121 UK postal areas is included in Section 4 of this document.
