The DSFRS Concert Band has just celebrated its 20th birthday. The Band has represented the Fire Service at many prestigious events at home and abroad. These include the anniversary parades in Normandy and Ypres, Belgium. More recently the band played at the Firefighters Memorial Trust Royal Charter presentation in London.
The summer season involves attending local festivals with bandstand appearances at Fire Service events in Devon and Somerset. Each year we look forward to performing at the Cathedral Christmas Carol concerts held by the DSFRS.
The Concert Band plays a wide range of music from light classical to film music and big band jazz, all of which can be heard at the Watermark, Ivybridge on Thursday 4 December at 8pm.
