About the Department
The Mahendra Educational Trust was established
in the year 1978 by Shri. M. G. Bharath Kumar, a renowned
educationist with an object of imparting a high standard
of education to rural children. The trust is located at
Kalippatty - midway between Salem and Tiruchengode.
Thiru. M.G. Bharath Kumar, the Chairman of the Trust is
assisted by the Governing and Advisory Council in matters
of Policy, Planning and Development of the Institutions.
Tmt. Valliyammal Bharath Kumar, a best teacher awardee,
is the Secretary of the Trust.
The Mahendra Arts & Science College was started
in the academic year 1999-2000 with the affiliation of
Periyar University, Salem. It is a magnificent institution
with all the needed facilities and required equipments. It
has got a well-established library, well equipped
laboratories, spacious playgrounds, transport and above
all, well qualified and dedicated staff members. All of
these together help to impart a high standard of education
to the rural community.
The objective for this theme is to help attendees
integrate new or existing software, statistically oriented
programming languages or general programming
languages into their current processes. The workshop on
Statistical Practice aims to bring together hundreds of
statistical practitioners including data analysts,
researchers and scientists who engage in the application
of statistics to solve real-world problems on a daily basis.
The goal of the workshop is to provide participants with
opportunities to learn new statistical methodologies and
best practices in statistical analysis, design, consulting,
and statistical programming. The workshop also provides
opportunities for attendees to further their career
development and strengthen relationships in the statistics
community.

analyzable data structures

The Department of Statistics established in the
year 2016. It serves as a source of expertise and focuses on
training and promoting the use of advanced quantitative
techniques Behavioural research. The department offers
B.Sc., Statistics three year course to enhance manpower
development. The department regularly conducts
workshops on basic as well as advanced statistical
techniques using various softwares. The Department also
helps by handling a variety of statistics courses for them
and also in helping them in the analysis of data of their
research students.
