A Template has been provided for you in the Student Assignments folder Students will be allowed to work with a partner Key Figures Leonardo da Vinci (pg. 475) Michelangelo (pg. 474) Machiavelli (pg. 476) Prince Henry (pp. 530-531) Vasco da Gama (pp.532-533) Zheng He (pp. 537) Christopher Columbus (pp. 553-554) Ferdinand Magellan (pp. 554) Hernando Cortes (pp. 554-555) Francisco Pizarro (pp. 556-557) Henry Hudson (pp. 563) Martin Luther (pp. 489-492) Johann Gutenberg ( William Shakespeare Henry VIII (pp. 492-494) Elizabeth I (pg. 494) John Calvin (pg. 496) ALL STUDENTS MUST ANSWER THE FOLLOWING: Political, Social, AND Economic Changes of the Renaissance – you have to include the rise of Florence, Italy. What political, social and economic changes took place in Florence? IF YOU HAVE DAVINCI, MACHIAVELLI, OR MICHELANGELO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING: Name and explain the artistic and scientific achievements of your person. Why are they considered to be “Renaissance Men” IF YOU HAVE PETRACH, ERASMUS, OR DANTE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING: Explain the characteristics of Humanism. Explain your specific person’s ideas. Why are they considered to be humanist? SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Must have 5 posts on the wall from at least 2 different people addressing the political, social, and economic changes. The different people must be from the same time period and be relevant to your chosen figure. For example, if I were doing a post about Martin Luther and Reformation it might read something like this: April 12, 1517 – I think Johann Tetzel is a fraud and he is robbing people without money by making them believe they can purchase a peace of paper to get into heaven. April 12, 1517 – John Clavin likes this post. April 15, 1517 – Johann Tetzel to Luther and Calvin – YOU BOTH CAN KICK ROCKS!!! I am doing honest work for the chruch!!! Follow the example for page two- “Info” to address basic information for your person Must have 6 to 10 photos. (with thoughtful captions addressing historical significance, i.e. how it relates to the Renaissance, Exploration, or Reformation) Make sure you have addressed ALL of your questions
