THE CREW
Patti Balch (Grandma) A SRT veteran, Patti has donned our stage for 33 years!! She says she has had many memorable roles such as Crazy Nannette, Otis Crummy, Candy Cane, Sheriff Hible, Sybil, Tootsie and 22+ more. Her favorite roles include rid-ing in a coal car and being blown up, playing a villain and sharing a couch with a dead guy. Patti is grandma to 4 fantastic grand kids. She enjoys golf, fly fishing and boating and is a faux artist/muralist and owner of PWB Designs.
Georgia Ball (Ginny Archer) Georgia’s previous experience in-cludes several years on the SRT stage as well as playing Gerda in The Snow Queen and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Georgia cherishes the friendships and bonds that have come along with every production and would like to thank her parents for always driving her wherever she needs.
Donna Blevins (Dixie) Over the 6 fun-filled years with SRT, Donna has appeared as a detective (twice), mean hotel owner and clairvoyant. Donnas’ most memorable role was playing Officer Knight in How the Other Half Dies. She also currently performs with the Encore Players, Readers Theater for Livermore Reads To-gether. Donna says “Life is a delicate balance between chaos and control—both on and off stage.”
Lea Blevins (Trixie) Lea returns for her 6th production with Sunol Rep. In addition to appearing on stage, she has also been Co-Director and Secretary for SRT. Lea most recently appeared in An American Daughter with Livermore’s Encore Players. Lea would like to thank her awesome friends, loved ones and SRT regular for supporting our plays—bravo to you.
Sandi Bohner (Publicity) Sandi has worn many hats with SRT since her debut 17 years ago, such as publicity manager, producer (2 years), ticket sales, and prompter. One of her more challenging roles was playing dead in Ax of Murder for almost the entire first act and yes, she did fall asleep—once. She enjoys the camaraderie and many friendships made at SRT. Off stage Sandi is owner of
WHO’S WHO
5
Bubbes Critter Creations, making gourmet treats for your furry friends. She also manages, with her husband, Stanley Junction Senior Apartments in Pleasanton.
Mike Brown (Light & Sound) Mike’s career started off in a series of bad church pageants in grammar school. If he had been smart, he would have retired from acting permanently and pursued a career in used car sales or politics. He successfully avoided the stage for more than four decades but decided to try SRT when his two daughters, Rebecca and Sara decided to storm the stage. He has had multiple minor parts in SRT since and continues to demonstrate a chronic lack of talent. This year Mike plays the part of the slightly mis-guided tech, Phil (maybe the management is sending a hint about his true calling).
Bob Canning (Judge) Bob is back for his 2nd year with SRT and enjoys playing a judge. Previous experience includes playing a Kabuki actor in Madame Butterfly, a ghost sailor in The Flying Dutchman and Festus in Don Pasquale. We love having Bob as a part of our merry band of players.
Patty Canning (Prompter) Patty is reprising her role as prompter this season. However, rumor has it that she’s really only here to make sure her husband “The Judge” knows his lines!
Grare Davis (Thelma Lotto Lady/Co-Producer) In her 12th year with SRT, Grare has worn many a hats such as prompter, stage manager, co-producer, publicity, and even held a few speaking parts. Grare’s first on stage singing part happened last year and she loved it! Next up for this world traveler is visiting Two Dot, Montana with her BFF.
Marinda Dentinger (Tina) Marinda will be joining sisters Taz-lina and Violeta for her very first time on our stage. This Sunol Glen School student also loves reading and listening to music.
Tazlina Dentinger (Sunny Archer) Tazzy returns for her 3rd season with SRT and brings younger sisters, Marinda and Viole-ta. This Foothill High student also enjoys reading, doing crafts, playing the trumpet and spending time with her pets.
6
Violeta Dentinger (Francine) This is Violeta’s second year with SRT as she will joining sisters Marinda and Tazzy. This Sunol glen School student is looking forward to more seasons with SRT where she can have more than 7 lines.
Suzanne Diers (Hals Voice) Suzanne’s thrilled to once again join SRT. You may remember her as Señorita Juanita Fandango, Tan-gerine Soufflé, and Polly Purina. In her professional life, Suzanne has been in IT - working with computers long before mobile apps. She thanks SRT, her family, and her tap dance ‘partner in crime’.
Barbara Egbert (Stage Manager) Barbara has served SRT as producer, house manager and other off-stage positions, but her favorite repeat role is as stage manager. Barbara’s most memora-ble role is when she appeared on stage as Dr. Joanna Vandeveer in 2013 production of Murder in the House of Horrors. Away from the theater, she is a freelance book editor and an editor for Stan-ford University News Service.
Louie Hesemann (Officer Flint) Louie has appeared in several productions over the years but his most memorable was in Once Upon a Mattress when he fell flat on his face holding a large glass bowl of jello, which shattered. In his four years with SRT, Lou-ie has played a policeman 2 times and he would like to know if anyone would like to contribute to the Old Actor’s Policeman Retirement Fund!
Linda Hinshaw-Kramm (Louella Pierpont) This is Linda’s sixth season with SRT and she has been involved in theater since high school serving as President of the Thespian Society and majoring in drama in college, Linda is a retired IBM Field Engineer and she currently volunteers for the Strawberry Music Festival, the NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival and serves as Precinct Inspector for Alameda County ROC elections.
Derek Johnson (Oliver Bloomfield) In his 21st year with SRT, Derek appreciates the simplicity of being type cast! This year he plays an absent minded serial inventor who works out of his base-ment. Off-stage Derek is an engineer/scientist who works out of his basement in Sunol…coincidence?
7
Victorian King-Bowman (Louise Lotto Lady/Co-Producer) Al-though returning to SRT for her seventh season, this is Victorian’s first time co-producing with her BFF. She has acted, sang, and danced before audiences in San Ramon, Sunnyvale, Brentwood, Castro Valley, San Leandro, Pleasanton and Livermore. Victorian would like to thank her family, friends, fellow actors and especial-ly her husband for all of their support.
Klay Kunkel (Co-Director) This is Klay’s 6th time as director (or co-director) since joining SRT 15 years ago. His most memorable role was in 2004 when he played Scar Malone in The Villain’s Web and he was able to incorporate a tango with his co-villain across the Made in Paris hat shop. Klay says between the set building, crazy contraptions, cast parties and fellow actors, “SRT is just a hoot”!
Cait Maxey (Brian) Cait is enjoying her 1st year with SRT. This Sunol Glen school students previous experience included a part in Peter Pan playing a lost boy and in this year’s performance she also plays the part as a boy.
Phil Mumford (Leonard Pierpont) Phil has had an exclusive 35 years with SRT in such capacity as actor, director and set con-struction. One of his most favorite roles was playing Outlaw #3 in Wagon Wheels A Rolling and directing Zorro’s Back in Town. Phil is a retired Sunol Glen School teacher.
Josh Replogle (Josh) Besides appearing in several of our produc-tions, Josh has also appeared in other productions such as Little Shop of Horrors and The Miracle Worker. In fact his most mem-orable dance performance was lifting another actress in Little Shop of Horrors. This Foothill High student is looking forward to traveling to Berlin, Germany this summer for an international history competition.
Meredith Sarboraria (Carrie Bloomfield) Meridith’s previous experience includes performing a monologue at an actor’s show case and performing in small parts in skits. As one of our newest cast members, Meredith says she fills honored and thankful to be cast in this role in her very first play.

“Our original idea to produce a melodrama in Sunol was to provide an outlet for local talent and as a fun-draiser for the school. We take plea-sure in the fact that both goals have been so grandly met.”
Vicki & Tom Harland, Co-Founders
Robin Spindler (Ms. Grimstadt) This is Robins 5th year with SRT and with no other acting or theater experience she says she “started with the best!” She says, “Every year brings a new and memorable experience.” Robin would like to give a huge shout out to those who may not be on stage but who work tirelessly be-hind the scenes to support RT and its mission. It couldn’t happen without you.
Allen Schell (Pianist, Musical Director) Allen is a retired teacher and current pianist/organist/ musical director of Asbury Method-ist Church for the past 55 years. His acting experience includes be-ing a jailer as well as a drunken choir director...... Allen has been enhancing our productions for the past 19 years. Thanks Allen!!!!!
Diane Tiessen (Co-Director) Diane says “being a co-director with Klay Kunkel adds continuing creativity, drama and excite-ment to the enjoyable experiences which SRT provides year after year.” This is Diane’s 22nd season with SRT and she shares her Su-nol home of 42 years with master prop creator, actor and husband “Irvilina” Tiessen.
Irv Tiessen (Prop and Set Construction) Irv has contributed to SRT since the late 90’s and has enjoyed creating unique props such as a box to cut a person in half and thinking afterward “Boy, that actually worked”. His most memorable productions were those in which the props were as challenging as the characters roles such as in Peril of the High Seas and Hotel Escargot. Irv shares his Sunol home with wife Diane.
