Direct Instruction

What is it?Teaching strategy which is teacher centered

and involves lots of information being transmitted to the students. Typically

known as a lecture.

Direct instruction is like a good speech:

the teacher must catch students’ interest at the beginning, hold it by delivering pertinent organized information, involve listeners (overtly or covertly) and STOP before they reach saturation.
