Karl Pizzey is currently the General Manager and Ship Surveyor at ‘Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd’. Having previously been involved in the Further and Higher Education system in a technical capacity for eight years.Karl is a previous student of the Diploma Course in Small Craft Surveying and completed the course with distinction and now brings first-hand experience of the course, and his subsequent career, training and experience, for the benefit of course participants.Since completing the course Karl has developed his skills in the marine surveying industry and now holds recognition as an associate of the Royal institution of Naval Architects and Member of the Society of Consulting

Marine Engineers and Ship Surveyors (SCMS)’. Through the ‘Society of Consulting Marine Engineers and Ship Surveyors’ Karl holds approval by the United Kingdom Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) to perform all workboat code of practice surveys and certification tasks.In addition to his MCA approval Karl is also an approved Flag State Inspector for all ship types, for the Flag State Administration of Saint Vincent & The Grenadines.As an employee of ‘Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd’, Karl works as part of a well established team of experts with extensive experience in the marine industry supported by many decades of technical, regulatory and training experience
