Pembahasan Resensi
25
A few technical things
• Start from something readers can relate to then gradually talk about things more difficult– If it’s too difficult, readers will be too exhausted to continue.– Ex.: Rattatouille review by TIME
• Know who is your audience- So, how easy / difficult? Know where your article will be published, if for
high-school student, talk about something close to their life
• Engage through the first sentence (HOOK)- Tell the core of the film, but in general way. This will make readers
wants to continue reading
• Interest level- Start from something highly interesting, then go to the least interesting, then went up again to the most interesting. Your starting move will make the least interesting perceived more interesting.
26
A few technical things (2)
• Know the difference between bad movie, intentionally made to look bad, intended made as vintage (art)- This is about reputation. You don’t want to look bad because you don’t get
what the director meant.
• Tell in details- General: Scar is mean. Detail: Scar killed Mufasa by making Simba as bait,
Scar drove Mufasa of the cliff.- But be careful for spoilers.
• Story-telling not fact-tellingFact-telling: Transformer used … terabyte in special effectStory telling: The … terabyte of special effect is made not to waste, the robots looks real, we can even see their electrical joint spin when they move.
• NEAR: necessary, effective, accurate, relevant
27
How to MASTER those technical things?
Write-A-Lot
28
Want to Publish it?
– Keep it short and simple (500-1000 characters)
– According to the defined theme
– Know how to cite source and write the source of references
– Use “kamu”
– Your best picture!
Thank You!
