Death of the Dinosaurs

One of the great mysteries about dinosaurs is why they became extinct, or died out,

about 65 million years ago. Many scientists think that a huge asteroid or comet from

space crashed into Earth at this very time. Dust from the crash would have blocked

sunlight and stopped plants from growing. The dinosaurs would have starved.
