CARLOS SANTANA

For forty years and as many albums later, Santana has sold more than 90 mil l ion

records and reached more than 100 mil l ion fans at concerts worldwide. To date,

Santana has won ten GRAMMY® Awards, including a record-tying nine for a

single project, 1999’s Supernatural ( including Album of the Year and Record of

the Year for “Smooth”). He has also received a Bil lboard Century Award (1996),

was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1998), and received the

Bil lboard Latin Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement honor (2009).

Among many other honors, Carlos Santana has also been cited by Roll ing Stone

as #15 on their l ist of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.” Celebrating the

chart debut of Guitar Heaven… The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time (Arista)

in 2010, Santana joined the ranks of the Roll ing Stones as the only musical act

in chart history to score at least one Top 10 album in every decade beginning

with the 1960s. He is also currently headlining at a two-year residency at House

of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

Carlos Santana has devoted himself to a l i felong commitment to social activism

and humanitarian causes. The Milagro Foundation, original ly established by

Carlos Santana and his family in 1998, has granted more than five mil l ion dollars

to non-profit programs supporting underserved children and youth in the areas

of arts, education and health.
