Since February 2005, the Providence Downtown Improvement District (DID) has been providing supplemental clean and safe services downtown. Our programs enhance existing city services, giving special attention to the area bounded by Route 95, Memorial Boulevard, Citizens Plaza, the Providence River, and the former 195. DID projects are funded by an assessment on downtown property owners and are managed by our Board of Directors.

“To continuously enhance the quality of life in downtown Providence.”

Providence Economic Development PartnershipThe Providence Economic Development Partnership (PEDP) is the city’s prime economic development agency, advising the mayor on strategy and initiatives, and offering a full range of loan products and financial assistance to attract and grow jobs and businesses.
