National forewordThis standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 154 Aggregates (Secretariat: United Kingdom).The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Bauwesen (Buildingand Civil Engineering Standards Committee), Technical Committee 10.09.00 Mineralstoffe fr den Straen-bau.This European Standard is part of a series of standards dealing with aggregates within the scope of the ECDirective on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member Statesrelating to construction products.It should be noted that not all of the DIN Standards dealing with aggregates need yet be withdrawn. This isin keeping with resolution C 88/98 taken by CEN/BT, which states that where packages of EN Standardsare concerned, it shall be permitted for the relevant national standards to remain valid for longer periods thanusual, until the EN package has been published in its entirety.
