1939 - DIMO was founded with a staff
of just 29 in vehicle sales and repairs.
1945 - Registered as a limited liability

*DATS was established in 1990. It sets a
two-year course designed by Mercedes-
Benz and DIMO. After 20 successful years,,
a DATS was opened in Jaffna.
*DTI was established in the Hambantota
district on a 7A land to provide training of
drivers that is unseen anywhere in Sri
Lanka. A training track, dormitory, practical
and training center is at the site for
complete practical and theoretical training.
