NEW HOPE BULGARIAWe thank God for calling us into the mission field. My wife Maria and I, and our two children Victoria andGeorge are part of the family of New Hope Bulgaria. Our ministry was born out of the burden and passion tosee the church in Bulgaria equipped and able to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ out of children,youth and families and thus transform communities through the power of the Gospel. In the last 14 years,we have been privileged to become a blessing to many local churches, as we provide valuable resources,training, and support for church-based ministries among Bulgarian, Turkish and Gypsy communities inBulgaria, Turkey, and Central Asia.
We have had no greater joy than to see the radiant eyes and the expression of gratitude in the lives ofthose who have been reached through our ministry. In our work, we invest in the lives of individuals who inturn go out and make other disciples of Jesus Christ. Bulgaria lies on the crossroads of history and culture,where empires and nations have fought for influence and territory for centuries past.
In the last 14 years, we have reached over 4,000 children and youth through summer camps. Hundreds ofthose children and youth have grown to become children and youth workers. Many started their ownChristian families. As we empower and equip families for ministry we build the teams of local churches asthey faithfully serve the needs of their own communities.
In many poverty-stricken communities, one cannot just tell people that Jesus loves them. The Gospelclearly tells us that love without action of mercy is fruitless.
Today, we equip leaders from over 300 churches who come from various traditions and denominations.Just like in the days of Jesus’ earthly ministry, we hear the same call of God to prayer saying, “The harvestis plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray and ask the Lord of harvest to send laborers to Hisharvest.”
