Our HistoryOur HistoryWe originated when Anthony DiMatteo began his insurance career in 1955 with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and four years later became an Independent Agent. In 1975, the Agency became the A. A. DiMatteo Insurance Service Center when Mrs. Adeline DiMatteo joined the company. The business not only evolved into a complete family run operation in the mid 1980’s and 90’s, when all of the children joined the agency, but expanded geographically as well from its original roots in Bridgeport to Trumbull with a satellite office in Bethany. We continued to prosper and within a short time, outgrew the Trumbull location and moved to the current offices located at 79 Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton and 649 Amity Road in Bethany.
