digitization & citizen science, farlow herbarium (2014)
DESCRIPTION
Volunteer as a citizen scientist! “Take Notes From Nature” – transcribe museum and herbarium records of your favorite organisms. There is something for everyone – familiar localities, many historic collections, and a number of cryptogams themselves managed to get their pictures taken. The Farlow Herbarium is part of a scientific collaborative digitizing its vast natural history collections. The data are important to researchers and policy makers, so your volunteer help would be greatly appreciated. Earn points and badges, such as the Spore, Mycelium, and Mushroom badges.TRANSCRIPT
