Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. was established on February 18, 2012 by a joint venture between Foton Motors and Daimler. The investment is now US$1.7 billion. The shares of Foton Motors and Daimler are 50:50.
Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. Digital system factory is China's first heavy-duty global model factory that achieves world manufacturing standards. The factory consists of an area of 229,000 square meters, 85% of digital process management. At the moment, it focuses on the production of "Foton Auman" brand medium-heavy truck. "Foton Auman" is a registered Trademark, which will be used for FOTON Heavy and Medium Commercial Truck series.
