Demetria Devonne Lovato and Fame Surprisingly, Demi began her career when she appeared on Barney at age 7. She met and became friends with Selena Gomez while starring on Barney. Shortly after, Demi began singing and learning to play instruments. Later she auditions for Disney roles. Lovato starred in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2. She also appeared in the movie Princess Protection Program November 2013, Demi became a judge on The X Factor. She recently ended her Neon Lights Tour and is now starting the Demi World Tour. In fact during Neon Lights Tour a fan climbed on the stage and hugged her, luckily security took the fan off stage while placing Demi behind the stage until the situation was controlled. Jordan Sparks sang backup vocals for Lovato's song"Skyscraper",the song was originally going to be Sparks.

The 22 year old actress/singer graduated from Grapevine High School May, 2009 (a year early).

Top Movies of 2014! Ninja Turtles: This movie is based on a adult female named April, a news reporter. April observes some men doing evil things. The ninja turtles come to the rescue. She realizes the turtles were her pets when she was younger. Her dad, a scientist, created the turtles. His boss wanted to use the turtles to commit evil acts.

Once her dad figured out his boss's plan, he burned the science lab. Her dad died in the fire, but the boss survived.

Divergent: Tris figures out she is Divergent. This is a very dangerous secret that she cannot tell anyone. If someone figures out Tris is Divergent, she may be killed. She chooses to join the faction Dauntless, where she meets a teen boy named Four. They fall in love and Tris discovers his dark secrets. His real name is Tobias, called Four because he has four fears. 1.)Heights 2.)Small spaces (he's claustrophobic) 3.)Eye contact when killing some one 4.) His Dad

MOCKING JAY: Katniss Everdeen literally shatters the game forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the trust of her friends. Katniss fights to save Peeta and for a Nation moved by her Courage.

Teen Health Issues

Teenagers go through many changes to become an adult.This means they need to make healthy choices. It may sound simple, but at times it can be difficult. Healthy choices include eating healthy and becoming physically active. Making wise choices about your health can prevent diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and strokes. How does a teen make healthy choices? By exercising, getting enough sleep, taking a shower, and eating three meals a day. Making these choices each day helps a teen become a healthy adult.

Exercise Why do teens need to exercise? Teenagers need to exercise to keep their body healthy.The reason teens exercise include sports, health, recreation, competition, or overall appearance. How much exercise do teenagers need? Teens need at least 1 hour of exercise everyday.

Sleep Teenagers are more likely to stay up later than other age groups. Teens that stay up late could face academic, health, and emotional problems sooner or later. A teenager needs 9.5 hours nightly. According to national sleep foundation, teens that get enough sleep each night seem to concentrate better in school, and are less likely to have acne, and misbehave.

Hygiene What is good hygiene? Hygiene is how we keep our bodies clean. Being clean allows one to look and smell good. Having good hygiene includes... Showering, washing hands and feet, brushing your teeth, and visiting your doctor for yearly check-ups. - Haley Davenport


College Baseball Baseball was first known as rounders. The first mention of baseball was in 1791 when immigrants from England, living in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, began playing the game. The bats that these early settlers used were handcrafted out of wood. The settlers weren't very educated in the game, but they knew the basics of it. This gave the settlers ability to play the game. An ordinance banned the game within 80 yards of the town meeting house. College baseball season begins on February 14, 2015. Teams earn their rank by the points they received in the previous season.The team who wins the World Series, is the number one rank in next years season. The number one rank this season will be Vanderbilt. This is because they won the college World Series. So that means that Vanderbilt will be the team to watch this year.

Endangered Species

Did you know that all living things depend on each other? Throughout the world thousands of animals are considered endangered.These animals include gorillas, tigers, frogs, and even insects.

How do animals become endangered?

Animals become endangered when people destroy their habitat, forcing them to live where they will not survive. Some animals are hunted or fished, until the animal species is nearly gone. Unfortunately, air and water pollution leads to the death of many species. For example, trash tangles up fish or they die from eating trash thinking it is food.

How does endangerment affect humans?

An affect of animal endangerment is that humans will have no food or water to survive. Our environment will be destroyed. If one species is destroyed, we could all die. - Dre McDonald


Seth Simmons Loves to Race

My dad bought me my first go kart when I was three years old. It was bright red with a blue stripe in the back and was battery operated. A place was cleared on our land for me to learn to drive. Throughout the years my dad has purchased four other go karats. Currently, I drive a 351-FSR. It is a car frame with a v8 engine and has the abilities of a normal car. However, the shocks and the main frame under the go kart are more twistable than normal cars. This allows for turning or sliding through corners. The governor spring has been removed so the kart goes faster. The vehicle has a clutch with a little bit of nitrous which allows the car to have a faster speed. My number 351 represents my Papa's date of death 3/15/01. I race my go kart with my friend Jeffrey at the mud bog track in Anderson, South Carolina.

Jeffrey McCracken Loves Racing

People race go karts at fairs or while on vacation. However, I race at Anderson Mud Bog. I drive a 2012, DSR (brand of kart), 1000 CC go kart. My car is number 2, a white and green high powered go kart. The go kart can reach a speed of 115 miles per hour. With noss and nitrous added to the fuel the vehicle will go much faster. Recently, Seth Simmons and I raced in a tournament. I finished 5th and Seth came in 3rd place. Seth won a silver trophy. Some people take go karting to a new level, like racing in tournaments or racing for money and fame. Others race for respect, which to them may be more than money or fame.

Ray Rice

Ray Rice, the running back for the Ravens, has recently been charged with domestic violence. A video was released by TMZ showing Rice punching his then fiancé Janay Palmer once and spitting on her twice while in an elevator. Ray Rice's fans still support him after the video. Fans think the NFL should not take his career away and this should be handled in court. Now the NFL is kicking him out. Why did they hide this video from the fans? Rice lost everything the day the video was released.

Why is Greg Hardy, the defensive linemen for the Carolina Panthers still on the field and charged with two counts of domestic violence? Even if he goes to jail, he needs to be kicked out of the NFL. Rice lost sponsorships and his career.

Greg Hardy Greg Hardy, defensive end for the Carolina Panthers, has been charged with two counts of domestic violence. He has been sentenced to eighteen months of probation and a sixty day jail sentence has been suspended. Hardy awaits a jury trial in a superior court in North Carolina. Hardy said, "she told me to break her arm when I asked her to leave." Hardy says his ex-girlfriend would not leave. People believe this could be the result of football related brain trauma (concussions) with aggression. In 2012, Jovan Belcher (Kansas City Chiefs linebacker) killed his girlfriend and then took his own life in the team parking lot. Belcher had a long concussion history.

Carrie Underwood Carrie Marie Underwood was born March 10, 1983. She is an American country music singer, songwriter, and actress. She has written many songs, "Before He Cheats", "Jesus Take The Wheel", " Cowboy Casanova"," Blown Away" and many other songs. Carrie Underwood has two sisters, Shana and Stephanie. She grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma, and began singing with her church at the age of three. As she grew up she went to Northeastern State University. (2001-2006). Carrie Underwoods favorite TV show is Desperate Housewives, her favorite actor is Johnny Depp, and her favorite actress is Drew Barrymore. She has won a total of 116 awards during her career . Some of her awards are " Female Vocalist of the Year", and "Artist of the yYear".Carrie Underwood has come a long way and has set a great track record which is commendable for an artist who is 31 years old.

The Negative Aspects Of Video Games

•People that play video games increase their chance of obesity, risk is doubled every hour one plays video games.

•Playing video games can increase the risk of having a seizure •Fighting another player in a game can increase the chance of the player fighting in real life.

The Positive Aspects Of Video Games

•"Exergames" are games that require students moving. •Video games may teach players high level thinking skills needed in the future. •Players that have poor socialization skills can play video games that let them talk to other people. •Video games teach the player computer skills •Playing video games increases eye hand coordination and manual dexterity. Manual dexterity means skillful performance or ability.

There are many positive and negative qualities to playing video games. Players need to think through the consequences and choose wisely. If a player plays video games 2 hours or more, it can have very bad affects. If a player plays video games 30 minutes to 1 hour it can teach the player high level thinking skills. If a player has poor socializing skills the player can talk to other people through video games.

BOOKS MOVIES AND MUSIC Movies Over the weekend I saw the movie If I Stay. I recommend this movie for anyone who likes romance and suspense. It is a story about a girl named Mia, who plays the cello. One day, a boy walks by the classroom, in which she is playing her cello. His name is Adam, and he is in a rock band. Despite their differences, he asks her out. They soon fall in love. With Adam away on tour, Mia is alone with her family for the day. Since there is snow outside, school is out. The Hall family is going for a drive. Suddenly, the car turns and flips over on it side. Mia wakes up realizing she can see her own body, lying unconscious on the ground. She was being hauled off in an ambulance. A nurse whispers in her ear, "It's your choice to stay or not."

Music Boy Bands vs Bands There are many arguments over if a group is a boy band, or a band. What is the difference? The word boy band means, "a group of teen boys that sing in a certain style of music". This does not mean the boys have no ability to play an instrument, just not while they are performing as a boyband. Which of these boy bands is your favorite? - One Direction - The Wanted - N'sync - Backstreet Boys - New Kids On The Block - The Beatles A band is a group of musicians who play instruments. They may or may not sing. Not all bands sing, as in a marching band for example. Which of these bands are your favorite? - 5 Seconds Of Summer - The Vamps - Green Day - All Time Low - Paramore - Panic! At The Disco - Fall Out Boy - The 1975 - Blink-182 - Before You Exit 5 Seconds Of Summer, or 5SOS was formed in 2011. Luke Hemmings, guitar and vocals, created a YouTube account and started posting videos. He met Michael Clifford, Guitar and vocals, and Calum Hood, bass and vocals, at Norwest Christian College in Australia. They shared an interest in music and decided to start a band. Then, 5 Seconds Of Summer was born. The boys did covers and gained lots of fans. Michael, Luke, and Calum needed a drummer and soon found, Ashton Irwin. All four guys, posted their first cover with Ashton, Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus. It was a hit.

Book Review I've read The Fault In Our Stars early last year. I have to say, it's one of my favorite books. In my opinion, I loved it. I strongly recommend this book for anyone who likes books that are sad, funny, and have a some romance. The story is about, a girl named Hazel and a boy named, Augustus. Hazel has Lung cancer, and Augustus is in remission. Remission means, he used to have cancer but has disappeared. Hazel and Augustus meet at Therapy, and start hanging out. Soon enough, they fall in love. Hazel and Augustus will inspire readers to enjoy life because sometimes, life is short.

To join Science Olympiad there are a few requirements. Acccording to Mrs. Pamela Frady, first of all, members of Science Olympiad should be available to come to the meetings every Thursday from 3:15-4:30 pm. Secondly, prospective members need to have a teacher recommendation from a science teacher. And finally, members need to have exemplary in Math and/or Science on the PASS test in 5th or 6th grade. Science Olympiad has a limit of fifteen members, currently there are nine.

Tiny Tower

Tiny Tower and Tiny Death Star (free apps) allow the player to build and manage hotels. The concept is for the player to expand their hotel (Death Star) within the players budget, stock businesses, complete missions, and employ their "Bitizens". The players Bitizens have a skill set on certain types of job based on a # system to 9, (9 being the best skill, 8 their next, and so on). Bitizens have dream jobs. If the player gives them that job, they will warn two "tower bux". Tower bux, coins, and chips (Tiny Tower Vegas) are the forms of currency the player uses to build floors, rent slots for VIPs, dress up the Bitizens, paint floors, etc.... There are three types of people on tiny tower. There are visitors, who randomly show up for a short time. Bitizens who live in the players tower, and VIPs who preform special actions on the floor the player choose. The floors in the player's tower correspond with the real world. When the player builds a new floor or stocks an existing floor it takes time if the player's playing or not There are pro's and cons of video games. Some positive affects are: many touch-screen games can help increase hand-eye coordination, timing, and math skills. Video-games usually have a multiplayer mode which. forces teamwork to complete the set goal.there are also educational games that make learning easy & fun. There are games that increase puzzle-solving and logic skills. Video games can be inexpensive at the store, or can be purchased at a flea market or jockey lot for $2.00 to $20.00. There are cons of video-games. They can become addictive and hinder people from going outside and getting the proper amount of physical activity everyday. Some video games contain content too mature for younger people.* 1
