Pedagogy (/ˈpɛdəˌɡɒdʒi/) is the discipline that deals with the theory and practice of teaching and how these influence student learning. Pedagogy literally means "leading children".

Andragogy refers to methods and principles used in adult education. The word comes from the Greek ἀνδρ- andr-, meaning "man", and ἀγωγός agogos, meaning "leader of"; it literally means "leading man”.

Humanagogy is a theory of learning that takes into account the differences between people of various ages as well as their similarities. It is a human theory of learning.
