Who are we looking for?

• You are organised, self-motivated and have a habit of meeting deadlines, exceeding expectations and knocking specified briefs out of the ballpark.

• You must be wildly enthusiastic about USQ’s reputation, achievements, people, history and place.

• You craft and edit sentences to perfection.

• You have a knack for identifying and assessing opportunities and making sure they’re the best fit for USQ.

• You are a team player and don’t mind chipping in when your team needs you.

• Skills in video editing, photography and Photoshop will be favourably considered. You must be a currently enrolled USQ student. Members of the incoming class of 2015 are welcome to apply.

What will you do?

• Identify and recommend content ideas and digital channels.

• Draft, revise and collate communication for a variety of digital channels.

• Liaise with stakeholders and students at USQ.

• Draft and publish engaging content.

• Provide general support to USQ departments and Marketing and Student Attraction teams, as required.

Hours and Salary Rate

• This position requires a commitment of 8 to 10 hours per week from January to December 2015, with the option to increase hours during semester breaks.

• Salary rate starts at $31.00 per hour.

Toowoomba Digital Marketing InternAre you a master at writing Facebook status messages and interesting tweets? Do you love telling others about what makes USQ Toowoomba special and unique? Want to be paid for doing so? If so, Marketing and Student Attraction invites you to apply for a job as the university’s new Toowoomba Digital Marketing Intern. This paid casual (8 to 10 hours a week) student position reports to the Online Content Officer as part of the 2015 USQ Internship Program.

Job DescriptionThe University of Southern Queensland has grown its social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn etc) to share the university’s knowledge and increase USQ’s online learning environments.

The primary responsibility of the Toowoomba Digital Marketing Intern is to assist us in curating, composing and publishing interesting stories to the university’s official social media accounts. In addition to daily curation and moderation tasks, our new Toowoomba Digital Marketing Intern will contribute towards the university’s Digital Marketing Strategy.

You may also brainstorm and implement innovative user experiences for USQ’s digital channels. This is an opportunity to build your portfolio and gain experience in a real-world environment.

Springfield Video Digital InternDo you have a flair for producing and editing amazing short videos? Are you inventive in finding video opportunities for brand promotion? Want to be paid for doing so? If so, Marketing and Student Attraction invites you to apply for a job as the university’s new Springfield Video Digital Intern. This paid casual (8 to 10 hours a week) student position reports to the Online Content Officer as part of the 2015 USQ Internship Program.
